I thought that some Roman Catholics believed in the revelations at Fatima? The Catholic Church teaches that revelation is complete.
Hi KEPSo the continued existence of Judaism somehow disproves that God gave a fuller revelation through Jesus, yet the continued existence of both Jews, Christians, and Muslims donât disprove the Bahai claim. Way to undermine your own position. Makes a lot of sense.
As far as why Judaism still exists after Jesus-- the prophets of the Jewish scriptures themselves say that the Messiah will be rejected by his Jewish kin. The Talmud even talks about 2 different Messiahs, one rejected by his own kin named Messiah Ben Joseph, and the other a conqueror named Messiah Ben David.
Most Jews have, in fact, accepted Jesus as the Messiah. I personally am of Jewish descent. I have jewish family members still, but most have accepted Jesus as the Messiah. Think about it. The Jewish population in 150 AD was about 4.2 million. By the time the 1900s came around they were around 16.5 million. Not much growth for 1800 years. Were jewish women all barren? Were a huge number of them celibate? No and no. The majority have accepted the Jewish messiah over the ages. And in the End the last ones will also, just as Jesus predicted.
You do realise that youâre just doing what the Bahaâi posters are doing to you, donât you?Jewish people who have converted to Christianity know exactly what that means.![]()
Mind you, all that is different from whether Mohammedâs exact revelation was God-inspired or not. Muslims certainly do seem to worship the God of Abraham, but the actual topic of the thread is different.Catholics are required to accept the precepts of Vatican II. I accept these even though I am Anglican.
Pope St. John Paul II to Muslim youth on 8/19/85:
**"âŚWe believe in the same God, the one God, the living God who created the world and bring His creatures to their perfection" **
Tin Staples of CA:
"The question is do they [Muslims] adore the same God we do. The Church says yes."
**The Church has not gone so far as to acknowledge Muhammad as a Prophet, but it should be noted that John Paul II worked throughout his pontificate to build better understanding between Christians and Muslims.
Accusing them of worshiping a spurious god is not helpful in that regard. **
J.P.II, 3/12/00
"âŚlet us ask pardon âŚfor the distrustful and hostile attitudes sometimes taken toward followers of other religions."
Two questions:And yet , Muhammed, who you claim is a true prophet, taught that any who do not submit to Islam are to be killed.
LolYou do realise that youâre just doing what the Bahaâi posters are doing to you, donât you?![]()
My understanding is that the word Islam means submission. Two questions:
.
- Which verse in the Quran are you referencing with this statement?
- What do you understand by the term âsubmit to Islamâ?
You know, when youâve got some spare time from busily trying to convert people, you might find trying to understand other religions on their own terms - rather than just telling their adherents what it is that they believe - quite illuminating.Lol
I think I should thankyou?
Is it that obvious?
Indeed, each new religious Dispensation closes the eyes of the adherents of he previous Dispensation.
Your eyes are alllllllllllll about Moses
.
Iâve not mentioned my religion in this thread. Itâs a far cry from trying to convert lolYou know, when youâve got some spare time from busily trying to convert people, you might find trying to understand other religions on their own terms - rather than just telling their adherents what it is that they believe - quite illuminating.
Not so much fun, possibly.
Submission to what Micosil? My understanding is that the word Islam means submission.
And Christians could say âBĂĄb and BahĂĄâuâllĂĄh loversâ are blind to Jesusâ true light. Do you realize how that can be seen as rude, perhaps?Itâs simply an observation sister Kaninchen.
There has never been a new religion claiming to be a successor to a previous one where the entirety of the previous religion have joined allegiance with the new Prophet.
It is a real fact that many lovers of Moses are blinded to Jesus light.
Do you see Divinity and holiness in Jesus?
.
Submission to what Micosil?
.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IslamIslam is a verbal noun originating from the triliteral root s-l-m which forms a large class of words mostly relating to concepts of wholeness, submission, safeness and peace.[25] In a religious context it means âvoluntary submission to Godâ.[26][27] IslÄm is the verbal noun of Form IV of the root, and means âsubmissionâ or âsurrenderâ.
As a Christian do you not voluntarily submit yourself into the loving and embracing arms of Jesus?
This may very well be so dear Micosil. And Christians could say âBĂĄb and BahĂĄâuâllĂĄh loversâ are blind to Jesusâ true light. Do you realize how that can be seen as rude, perhaps?![]()
It seems to me, Servant19, that you share an error with many Christian posters, itâs the idea that Christianity = Judaism + Jesus/Judaism = Christianity - Jesus.Itâs simply an observation sister Kaninchen.

I donât see it like that necessarily Kaninchen, but that is the insistence of each previous Dispensation. It seems to me, Servant19, that you share an error with many Christian posters, itâs the idea that Christianity = Judaism + Jesus/Judaism = Christianity - Jesus.
The thing is that theyâre very, very different religions, they donât âworkâ the same way, they have very different foci, very different âpreoccupationsâ. If you understood that, you might find waffle like âmany lovers of Moses are blinded to Jesus lightâ rather embarrassing.
For a start, understanding religions on their own terms might help.I donât see it like that necessarily Kaninchen, but that is the insistence of each previous Dispensation.
Christians say that Christianity is the fulfilment of Judaism though. Jews, naturally deny this. So who is right?
How do we go about sorting this all out?
