Congratulations Nick Sandmann!

There were those that thought you didn’t have a case.

Looks like you had at least TWO of them (Against CNN and now against The Washington Post).

Sandmann lawsuit against Washington Post dismissed World News
(That ruling was later reversed in Sandmann’s favor. Here is that thread too.)

Then this . . .

Nick Sandmann: Covington Catholic student's legal team sues NBC, MSNBC World News
Summary: NBC and MSNBC are added to the list of news organizations against which a case is now filed. Washington post filed to have the case dismissed in April.
One post (wrongly) stated . . .
“Politics has nothing to do with this case, and law warrants its dismissal,” the Post’s legal team said.

There may be more of these types of threads in the future too concerning . . .
  • NBC Universal
  • Elizabeth Warren
  • The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman
  • Comedian Kathy Griffin
  • ABC News’s Matthew Dowd
  • Princeton University’s Kevin Kruse

One informative post from @JohnR77 quoting LifeSiteNews back in Oct. 2019 . . .
As various media figures either tried to keep the original narrative alive or refused to unequivocally retract or apologize for their initial claims, attorneys representing the students have filed defamation suits against numerous other media outletsand public figures, including CNN, NBC Universal, Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren, the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, comedian Kathy Griffin, ABC News’s Matthew Dowd, Princeton University’s Kevin Kruse, left-wing activist Shaun King, and Rewire editor-in-chief Jodi Jacobson.

They have a father who cares for them. May your sons be strong and your daughters fair.

I hope the settlement is enough to put Nick Sandman through college and law school. It will not be enough to prevent liberal media from reporting fake news to advance their agenda.

May many others join Mr. Sandman in his support for protecting the lives of the preborn.
Amen.

I hope this decision will make the media outlets think twice before reporting these false oversensations they call news. My concern though is that they will follow Nick Sandman’s life very closely and report on any misdeed he may does in the future to somehow get even.

Good point. His life has changed forever and he may never have the privacy most of us never think about.

Hopefully he will contribute to re-electing Pro Life President Trump.

Congratulations Nick Sandmann!

Did he win this case? The settlement was private.

If you feel he won the case then Trump lost his housing discrimination case, which was begun right when he was starting his real estate career. There was a settlement in that case, also.

Nepperhan . . .
Did he win this case?
Yes.

Nepperhan attempting to deflect the discussion towards . . . . well you know who . . . .

Bold mine.

I think you should begin a thread on it Nepperhan.

No thread needed. Its a simple dichotomy. If you believe that adolescent won his case then to be consistent one must consider Trump the loser in his discrimination case – unless you eschew consistency.

Nepperhan . . .
one must consider Trump . . .
Not on this thread I musn’t.

I think instead of deflecting on this thread, you should begin (yet another) thread about “Trump”

Actually, if you are going to conclude who won that recent lawsuit, one must. make that consideration. If one is sagacious.

I love those lawsuit where one party does not admit doing anything wrong … but promises not to do it anymore. The situation makes one wonder.

What really impresses me is that Mr. Sandman was an adolescent (a high school student) at the time in which he went to Washington to participate in the March for Life. He remained so calm, while another group shouted insults at he and his classmates and smiling even as a person moved in on him, banging a drum in his face. His grace under pressure is inspiring, setting an example for other teen-agers, who may also be challenged for standing up for the rights of the pre-born.

Is this really a political issue for Catholics?

A boy was unfairly maligned for no reason. Said boy was Catholic, and attending a pro-life march. He did nothing wrong, yet his life was threatened.

Tell me again why you are being such a buzzkill instead of saying “I am glad for him.” Saying that does not equate to swearing fealty to Trump. You can still vote for Biden and not admit it to anyone on this board, so don’t worry.

Of course, his Bishop initially lashed out too, which in and of itself is pathetic. The problem in this country is not simply people complaining, but leadership reacting to the complaints without at times simply saying “No thanks.”
