I haven’t read every post so forgive me if this is in this thread somewhere….granted, the archbishop had the ultimate responsibility for protecting our Lord … but…what about the congregation? Did now ONE person make an effort to call the police for these people disrupting Mass?
I saw Laura Ingram on O’Reilly and she made the comment ‘I’m glad it didn’t happen at a Mass I was at" - I cant’ remember her exact quote, but she made it sound like she would have said or done something- called the police, etc. I know hindsight is 20-20, but really, if they are this blatant a group, SOMEONE in the congregation should have known about them and stepped up to protect our Lord - even if it was to get out of line, walk up to the archbishop during communion, and tell him - or stop him as he was giving them our Lord.
We ALL need to be more radical in our faith at times like this. I pray I will have the courage and forethought to act appropriately if I’m ever in a situation like this. I don’t know if I will, but I pray I do.
I hope Pope Benedict knows about this, and I pray he reacts according to God’s will - I don’t know what that is, but I sure hope he does.
