The secular press is having fun comparing Pope Francis with Pope Benedict xvi, even to the point of lauding the former’s black shoes as against the latter’s red. This praising Pope Francis by disparaging his predecessor shows a bankruptcy of journalistic ideas and ethics.
I want to know which pope has the lower golf handicap. Information on their bowling averages would also be helpful. 🙂

Well, that’s it in a nutshell, because CAF does indeed have a specific agenda that is not about ‘stupid things.’ 😛

I think you have convinced me!!! Thank you!! 😃
My pleasure! 🙂 It’s very rare to convince anyone on this forum. LOL

I think it’s b/c Pope Francis is extremely likeable and he is gaining respect of everyone including non-religious. This pope is very unique in this regard.

I just noticed the Pope’s glasses kind of look like Harry Potter’s. 🤓

Pope Francis seems to have won in the main the Australian media too and not easy to do. Although, our Holy Father has some massive challenges ahead after all the celebration and honeymoon period is over and needs our daily prayer. The Aussie media is waiting to see what happens also and our media likes nothing more than to shine a spotlight on something or other negative because bad news does sell …and attract readers and viewers. Prayer.

Pope’s Cousin: ‘He Has Always Asked Us to Pray for Him’
A cousin of Pope Francis says that he is a humble, austere man, who has always asked for prayer.
Sister Ana Rosa of the Salesian Congregation of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians was in Rome today for Francis’ inauguration Mass.
Her father is a cousin of Francis’ mother.
Today, Sister Ana Rosa is a missionary in Thailand. “It was 2 o’clock in the morning [in Thailand] when we heard the news [of the Pope’s election], and I thought, ‘Is it true?’ It was overwhelming,” she told ZENIT.

The rubber bands!!! Oh, what a sweet story! And one of those tiny, easy steps that anyone of us could do to help another person and to help preserve creation.
Like when I cancel Allstate and switch to Geico?

😃 Not quite. More like when you return unused condiment packets instead of throwing them out. Saves the store money and makes just a bit less trash.

I can even say how excited I am about out new pope. I work with an 88 year old Jesuit priest who comes by everyday and tells me how much he appreciates how hard I work for the school; of course he does that to everyone, but he makes me feel special anyway. They both emit such goodness and Christ like qualities. I hope the world keeps an interest in him.
