If Trump targets this because of necessity [ie:if there’s genuine evidence they have weapons or bombs inside the cultural areas) then that’s maybe reasonable but if it is not for this reason and Trump targets them just for revenge then this is horrific. This is why the world was horrified when Islamic state deliberately blew up Cultural Heritage.
Nobody should ever destroy others culture and history, regardless which country, organisation or through civil war etc…

Trump is conducting real estate negotiations with Iran leaders, nothing more.

His comments are intended to obtain ‘free rent’ in their heads, just as he accomplished with US Democrats. Making TDS an export product 😉

One article I read said that the hatred of America had finally become a top down thing in Iran. Then with the killing of the general, the writer predicted it would be rekindled from the bottom up for years to come.

Doesn’t appear that way.

Take it as a reflection, loose ends.
We are more ( and this may be tainted by what surrounds me ) into the person of the president or leader ,and sometimes movements come after their names . Not so much ( and it is a defect for me…) after models, ideals, party , etc.
It seems to me that after loosing terrorist leaders and their being “ known” and why not “reknown”, it isn’t like they operate like that any more but in twos . These ones.Quickly replaceable or I don’t know exactly why…
Nothing but some pattern I find and certainly not conclusive. Not that I know, just inferring.
I share with it , Jon, as I would think aloud with a friend . That is all…
Basically, that is why I said we don’t know that he was the “ lead” terrorist.
Oh, I think there is no doubt anywhere that he was their terrorist leader.
As for cult of personality, just three years after Obama left office, he is in dome quarters considered not radical enough, even though he was the most radical president in American history, with the exception of Woodrow Wilson.
Clinton has faded. Even Reagan has. Time passes.

I don’t think it is fitting to compare because you don’t have movements after them, you basically keep parties. It is different . We have more of “isms” after their names. It really becomes a cult of personality.
Your system or cases may have flaws but not that one. So that really wasn’t the focal point but how they(lead terrorists )go unnoticed now and their end / objective ( not a good one, terrorism is terrorism) prevailing over the “ who “.
So sincerely I am not thinking in any of your presidents or cases but ours and some in South America.
And as that he was the lead terrorist with no doubt, I accept then because you may have info I don’t, and it is certainly US that is involved.
Thanks , Jon.

Okay, here’s my opinion that you can feel free to ignore. This monster that was killed by the US drone will be missed by few. Many were adamantly “encouraged” to attend the funeral. Most are happy he’s gone. Many in Iran seek freedom from the oppression then currently live under. Unfortunately, the ones with the guns are the government. This will eventually change. Freedom for Iran will come one day. They crave freedom.

That idea is inconsistent with evidence reported by Mueller.
The matter of collusion is 2019.
But the matter of truth is eternal.
Which is why the Mueller Report was forgotten right after Mueller testified even by the Democrats. Somehow you are the only one thinking the Mueller Report is a matter of “eternal truth.” 😉

Look at the people you are dealing with… what do they love, what do they respect? You as a president need to speak in their language. Language they understand. President Trump came short of saying cultural sites yet they know what he was talking about… Don’t you remember the terrorists destroying Christian places that were important to their culture I think in Syria and maybe other mid eastern countries… Did you express outrage for their actions? Folks seem to be grasping at straws to slime President Trump for something else he didn’t do…

I hope they get it. I hope and pray that every country who wants to live in freedom gets to do that because God our creator wanted that for us too or He wouldn’t have given us a free will! Yes, even free to deny Him, or hate Him… He loves us that much!

He has lied like 7000 times. Listening is irrational. He owes an explanation that complies with law. In this post I ask does anyone know what it is.
The dishonest press has SAID he lied 7000 times. To be fair you have to subtract all the lies the media told and never retracted (and the few they did retract) to get an honest number and then mention politicians (which Donald Trump is NOT) to compare… say like Mr. Schiff???

I think their shooting down the plane completely changed the short game. The military will still plan reprisals but their leadership has “lost the wind” in their efforts to galvanize the people for them and against america. Soleimani suddenly became old news.

Found this news intriguing

I saw that. A bit much.

I think it was someone from the Dominican Republic iirc who told the regime they were flirting with pariah status. So that’s at least two countries now that have said that recently.

Not seeing it. I don’t see Clintonism, or Bushism. Americans typically value their leaders in a very positive way. Even Reaganism is more about policies than Ronald. But if people are concerned about that, the basic solution is to dramatically reduce the power held in Washington. That was the basis of the constitution: individual rights and strictly limited government.
So that really wasn’t the focal point but how they(lead terrorists )go unnoticed now and their end / objective ( not a good one, terrorism is terrorism) prevailing over the “ who “.
Who said this guy went unnoticed? He’s been on the radar for 40 years, but his recent actions prompted the president to act.
And as that he was the lead terrorist with no doubt, I accept then because you may have info I don’t
It is information available on Google

Forget it,please. You are obviously and expectably not familiar with these movements, and you are trying to understand them by forcing them into your presidents. It isn’t the case.
I am not talking nor particularly care about Obama nor Trump nor Bush nor vote nor have the slightest influence. I respect them though.Theirs is no easy task
I probably made a mistake bringing it up in these forums because the Trump/ Obama factor is inevitable…And foreign to my interests and opinion which I haven t nor will give about any of them here.
I don’t know if we may be saying the same. Until his death, he wasn t a publicized figure, and his whereabouts weren’t that clear cut so as to pin him down That doesn’t mean that he wasn’t followed and investigated.
Even in the case of the AMiA,very high profile one where the Qud Force appears at least for us for the first time in the figure of two persons who did local advanced study of the area (. 1993)and connections before the attack, G.Solimanei couldn t be imputed or charged…
And his name came to light with recent events because the spotlight was on other people. This is also their modus operandi, not coincidence.
If you can google specific terrorist events in relation to G Solimanei where he is specifically then imputed prior to 2019, and find them, that is what I believe inexistent, and for probably obvious reasons. But I accepted you may have.
Now sincerely , given there are persons deeply concerned and affected about unsolved terrorist attacks as the AMIA, poor people, Nisman, and now as if it weren’t t enough, the persons on the plane and their families, this I am saying or posting is completely irrelevant in perspective.
Again, thank you.

I’ll let you sit in this, but there is lots of connections to Solimanei.

For me, any defense of this guy is disturbing.

Soleimani, so many have witnessed against him, some have lost their legs, they were in the military, I’m sure they know what they are talking about.

On the other hand, “Common Dreams” which I’d have to call a Marxist website put out a story.

The website, “Iranian.com” is indeed, a pro-Iranian or maybe better put, pro-Iranian interests type of website. So, anyhoo, I was reading this earlier:

Excerpt:
All the Times the US Allied With Soleimani Against Common Enemies, Giving Him Air Support

I later wrote:

U.S. fighter jets have, at the request of the Iraqi government of Haydar al-Abadi, begun bombing Daesh (ISIS, ISIL) positions in Tikrit, according to al-Hayat (Life).

US air intervention on behalf of the Jerusalem Brigades of the IRGC is ironic in the extreme, since the two have been at daggers drawn for decades. Likewise, militias like Muqtada al-Sadr’s “Peace Brigades” (formerly Mahdi Army) and League of the Righteous (Asa’ib Ahl al-Haqq) targeted U.S. troops during Washington’s occupation of Iraq. But the fight against the so-called “Islamic State group” or Daesh has made for very strange bedfellows. Another irony is that apparently the U.S. doesn’t mind essentially tactically allying with Iran this way—the reluctance came from the Shiite militias.
So, you know, it’s a tough call sometimes, I read both sides… some things will stand out though, the recent crackdown in Iran on protesters is totally unacceptable. They are mowing them down. Similar has happened in Iraq. I repeat myself, I’ve said this numerous times. That’s a minimum.

This is a complex situation, some protesters say “no to the Regime” but they don’t want any kind of Shah to return to power either.

Save your energy for real enemies, Jon. I am not one of them.
In fact, as far as I know, I posted the only document here signed by a judge with the name of this General.
You are not familiar with the AMiA case and what followed and how it still affects us today as a people. It is the truth people want and need .
Have a blessed day, and breathe . I may seem challenging at times, as style, but not somebody to be “ disturbed “ about. You would know if we met and talked face to face.
I’m not engaging into your political antinomes, it wouldn’t help US, your people.Whom I love.
Have a blessed day.

Never said you were. The Iranian regime is, however.

I didn’t say you disturbed me. I said the defense of such a terrorist does.

I have no doubt you are a wonderful person. Political disagreements should never get in the way of such observations.
