May every attack , doubt or scornful remarks about the nature of prietshood and Apostolic authority, as instituted by our Lord , reaffirm our own awe and gratitude for same - how a priest in a confessional, in the Person of Christ and having been given the authority to forgive sins, is given a role more supreme than that of creating this entire passing universe ; for a soul is eternal !

And so for The Eucharist - an ’ ordinary ’ priest, standing for The Lord, God almighty Himself !

Yes, it has been difficult to believe from The Garden on down that The Father loves His children thus …esp. when deprived off of a good spiritual Motherhod !

Thank God that the Holy Father uses His righful role to tend and feed , to be mindful of all the lost or separated ones too , thus exercising His / his universal power !

And true , it takes hearts that can love and trust , to recognise this God given role and authority of The Shepherd to bring about The Kingdom !

May His Mercy be with all to free many from the fear that is of the enemy, and thus allow the Holy Spirit , His mighty role !

Just how many of you sweet people believe this truth a man forgives sins, well I suppose if you believe that the Pope “Is” the almighty then it all fits.

While some of the inquisitors had reputations as being men of justice and mercy, others were known to subject people to cruel and unusual punishment, including many different kinds of torture, which is what the inquisitions are generally remembered for. Because they could imprison suspects that they thought were lying, some inquisitors used torture as an attempt to get them to admit what the inquisitor wanted to hear. In 1252 Pope Innocent IV officially sanctioned torture as a way of extracting the “truth” from suspects. Prior to that time, this type of extreme punishment was foreign to church tradition and practice. During the Spanish Inquisition alone, some historians estimate that as many as 2,000 people were burned at the stake within one decade after the inquisition began.

The words “faith” and “alone” don’t appear in the bible at all, nor do any other English words.

The scriptures In 1John 2 that Anti- Christ is someone who denies the Father and the Son and who denies that Jesus is the Christ. The Papacy has never and will never do this. It was the Church Fathers (Catholic) who staunchly defended the Sonship of Christ.🙂

Wow?! I do not know you. But your heart seems hard in how you express your truth. I am not led by like or dislike. I am led to understand what separates me from a deeper understanding of God’s Love and what separates us from one another when all of us profess love for the same God. If my heart seems hard to you then I must look at myself to see the hardness that you see and confess to my priest that I have committed a sin.
While writing this I have been shown to have anger mixed in with my love for my faith and it has contaminated the love I have for God and my faith. I do see very clearly that we are to have perfect love as Our Lord expects of us. Thank you for pointing that out to me.
My anger gets triggered when I see attacks against the beautiful, mysterious, magnificent, infinite blessing of His Church that He guided me to after hating it and dismissing it for 40 years.
I will confess this in Confession Saturday and continue in the journey of humility that guides me to the Love of Christ.
 
It is a grave position to be the shepherd of all of Christendom. I love the Pope for taking on the responsibility of caring for my soul. It is humbling for me to be asked to take on the work of Christ in my small world. The pope’s have taken on the burden since Christ’s ascencion.

Actually, we are talking about a hardening of heart and it may include your heart as well. To come to the conclusion that the Papacy is the anti-Christ is clear evidence of the hardening of one’s heart.

Thank you for the confirmation. The Holy Spirit has been leading me in this direction because God’s Love is the Heart of our faith. Any hardness of heart causes sin and suffering and leads to division in our faith. When we have division then we have the false belief that this thread is discussing.

This thread topic has seen hundreds of forums and each forum had to close it lock it or delete it. We go into areas that cause many people to say and do things that are contrary to Christs teaching, when we should be brothers and sisters we sometimes stoop to a lower level a dark basement full of all sorts of trash to throw at each other. Scripture refers to this as the letter of the law not the spirit of the law, man made doctrine that separates and divides, any field general will tell you the way to defeat your adversary is to divide and conquer. “Can we say Satan is behind this”

We won’t see peace until the prince of peace returns which is just around the corner if these signs of the times are any evidence.

What darkness or trash are you referring to? If we do not see the darkness that continues to exist in each of us that cause us to sin then we project that darkness on to the Papacy and call it the anti-Christ.
