no. I just did it the night of confession. I confessed last morning and did it last night. beleive me. I am trying so hard not to do it. I think I can make it tonight 👍
 
Keeping you in prayer. It is likely a compulsion if you resort to it that frequently, or without a conscious reason. Think about approaching it from that angle. The Lord has also created those whose job it is to help you through, and out of, these behaviors.

This is not my quote. It is from one of my Youth leaders but he said “God does not let us be tempted with something we can’t overcome.” Or something like that. He said it a couple of months ago. Anyways, I’m going through it too. I wish I can stop thinking about it. I am going to confession tonight though. Hope I will confess everything:signofcross:

However, this is a spiritual war. You need spiritual assistance which can be obtained via a spiritual warfare prayer. Just Google “Catholic spiritual warfare prayer” and have a read through some of them. One will stand out, as it was intended for you. It will serve your situation exactly. If you FEAR the Lord, and FEAR what sin is doing to you, the power will be granted you to say the prayer in all faith and trust. They are powerful. One in particular helped me with some spiritual harassment I was receiving that was intended to shake my faith. BAM! Gone. Try it tonight, and use the prayer before the temptation strikes. This may require that you say it several times daily. Obtaining your soul is that important to the evil one. But, it’s much more important to God.

I agree with Po18guy, consider putting together a type of spiritual armor. Keep a blessed rosary in your pocket and say a mystery every morning before you start the day. Say a novena to St Jude or St Joseph with the intention of being freed from this sin. Make a conscience commitment to not give into this sinful habit when the compulsion creeps into your life. Say to yourself, I will not have to confess the next time I go to confession because I am not going to commit the sin. Set that goal …

I know this is not much dealing with my problem. But evil people I think ( Or its mental ) are watching me. Its long story. but thanks for telling me to look on google. I also think this will help with my more serious problem as well. 👍 Thanks a bunch!

thank you all for prayers! I made it a day but I gave in. I convinced myself it wasnt a sin. I have changed my background to remind me its a sin but I am so deceitful. I feel sorry. Its been very rough road. I am going to confession soon.

Have you tried praying three Hail Marys in honor of Mary’s Immaculate Conception and the favors bestowed upon her by the Trinity, for the virtue of purity?
 
:o well Mini gerbel one second,one minute,one hour,one day,one week,one year that is what struggle is and if you fall never lie in the dust and kick yourself because you are down it just takes longer to get back up.pay attention to what is leading your thoughts before you commit this act,root them out hard it is i know all to well,.and no i haven’t been given total victory yet in this matter but that is one of the ways i found to fight it.some one else once mentioned when when tempted say the glory be. Glory be to the Father,the Son and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and will be forever amen.

NO OTHER CHURCH besides the Catholic church feels that masturbation is either a sin or cares enough to preach about it. Masturbation is virtually universal among men and widespread among women.

You are torturing yourself by trying not to masturbate. You may actually be practicing some obsessive-compulsive behavior, fueled by nice ol’ Catholic guilt.

You might try becoming more active and getting out more in activities and sports. Socializing. Studying in the library. And checking for other OC type behavior and with your health care provider in case you do have other signs of OCD.

Stop focussing on the masturbation.

What does your priest think? Is he concerned about your ‘sins’?
I would think that priests gave up on masturbation centuries ago.

do not tell me its not a sin. I shall never think as the world thinks.
you are not catholic. so any protestant advice would be unappreciated. I have read the four gospels. its so clear i am in the true church. people like you really help me remember what i am fighting for. what I am dieing for. what I am going to live for.
 
and for further belief in my church. also one catholic pastor who came was very influenced by the holy spirit. He told things directly from God. He had a message for me. and he litterally said it during mass! no one else understood this part of the message but me.

if protestant churches can give me massages like this or read minds then I might consider joining them. :rolleyes:
