For me, the longest-running favorite is 2 Corinthians 5:17:
Another personal favorite of mine recently is Galatians 3:28-29:
It’s to be reminded that, because of Christ, I’m no longer the person I was. Sure, it is still a process to be fully dedicated to Him, but He has made me capable of doing so.So whoever is in Christ is a new creation: the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.
Another personal favorite of mine recently is Galatians 3:28-29:
As someone who struggles a bit with social position, either feeling inadequate or superior to others, and with (relatively mild) gender dysphoria, this passage is really comforting and a call to strive to get past both those struggles. It calls me to focus more on Christ than either where I am socially or how I feel about my body, voice, pronouns, etc. Not many passages really are so simultaneously comforting and challenging as that one, at least based on where I’ve been the last few years. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendant, heirs according to the promise.
