I’m grateful that my paternal great-great-grandmother, Bridgett, had the nerve to stowaway on a ship heading from Ireland to the US, and I’m grateful that she had the tenacity to survive her incarceration in New York City, and meet my great-great-grandfather. Likewise, I’m grateful that my maternal great-great-grandfather survived the Civil War and started his family. Blessed be God! Blessed be His Holy Name!

That I’m scheduled to work and that I have a job a loving family and friends both inside and outside the church

I am thankful for the birds at my feeders and in my yard, and flying overhead to wherever they’re going, and in the trees, and all around. Our world would be a lot emptier were it not for avian life.

I’m thankful for pictures of my family. For warm clothes and home. For the graces God gives us every day.

For extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion who bring the Body of Christ to the homebound.

Thankful for the fact that my damaged floor seems to drying out and fixing itself on its own.

If the floor straightens out on its own I’ll be really thankful for not having to go through the inconvenience of someone coming over to fix it.

I’m thankful for coffee too! After reading this, my husband decided to make us a cup!
:coffee:

He gave me the physical strength and helped to pray at a moment of sheer loss.

To have qualified today for a volunteer job where I might be able to use the skills and aptitudes He has given me to help people when they are at their most vulnerable.

For Holy Communion, for the Baptism I witnessed today, for coffee and pancakes.

For family friends and both of my church families (don’t take communion with the umc in my town) for the Eucharist the holy blood of our Lord the trinity and to be alive.

There are many little things where I see God’s miraculous help in my daily life.
These little things are the results of prayer.
I should not forget about prayer.
When I come out of the house, when I start to work, during my work, when I go back home.
Prayer, awakeness, sober mindedness, are important for the victories in our daily life.
