Lol! I’m thankful that it won’t, supposedly, get lower than 3 degrees here tonight. However, just 2 1/2 hours ago, the low was to have been 8 degrees, and it’s already down to 4 degrees. Here’s hopin’ . . .
For being able to stay in contact with the deacon who used to belong at my parish. The same one who opened my young, foolish eyes and helped me turn my life around. Although, I’m thankful for that everyday However today I’m thankful for experiencing my first communal penance service (my second confession in 3 years!) and was able to offer my troubles up to the Blessed Mother. That, and that I work with such wonderful catechists in our religious ed program.
I’m thankful for a telephone call I got today. It gives me much to think about.
I’m thankful for my loving wife and the ability to talk about anything with her.
I’m thankful for-
The roof over my head
The good food I have to eat and drink
Sufficient money to pay the bills
For having a car and a drivers license and still being capable of driving.
For finding a good trustworthy mechanic for my car, one who doesn’t overcharge.
For my parish and the people I know there especially the parish secretary.
For clothes to wear and shoes to put on my feet, including feet to put them on.
For my medications.
For being able to go to Mass and receive Holy Communion.
All the little gifts - small things I need - God sends my way.
For His love and mercy.
Thankful for the music directors, organist and cantor involved in today’s Mass and everyone involved in the music programme in my parish.
Never been a singer but they got me today with the advent hymns - couldn’t help but join in. Feel a bit sorry for the people sitting next to me having to listen to me tho hahaha
