Hallelujah
Creep - Radiohead
Favorite Things - Sounds of Music
God Help the Outcasts - The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Kiss Me - Sixpence none the richer
Crush - Jennifer Paige
Don’t Speak - No Doubt

The Stable Song by Gregory Alan Isakov. Absolutely beautiful; it makes me feel so thankful that God created such a beautiful world for us, the sun, the grass, the sky, even butterflies.

My other favorite is Soldier, Poet, King by the Oh Hellos. They’re a Christian band, though I had always listened to them before I knew. This song reminds me of the prophesied “Great Monarch” and gives me little hope for the future.

You know the Specials? I am impressed. Classic Two Tone ska is great. Song is actually a cover of a song recorded by Dandy Livingstone in 1967. Rico Rodriguez plays trombone on both the original and the Specials version.

These songs bring back high school memories for me (they were popular even though they were all released before I even started high school).

I LOVE RICO!!! I am (or used to be) a trombone player myself.

I’m not really into the popular music of today. So I would have to go back to Tommy Dorsey and Glen Miller. Also, the music from Lord of the Dance I listen to a lot. But if I had to choose a single genre of favorites, the ones I would want with me if I were stranded on an island for the rest of my life with a solar powered CD player, then the violin concertos of Vivaldi would be my first pick. If I had to pick something more contemporary it would be Gordon Lightfoot from the 1970’s. Possibly even some Black Sabbath. Nothing better for lifting weights except perhaps Rammstein. That pretty much covers it.

This tune is one of my top ten. Every time I hear it I end up dancing around the room, which is quite an achievement for a fifty-five year old man with a crippled left leg! 😊
