I’m probably the only person on the face of this earth that actually prefers the instrumental version of that song…

If we’re going with this era, I’d say Sing, Sing, Sing, (With a Swing), Benny Goodman’s version from the live recording at Carnegie Hall. His band reads like a who’s who of musicians who would go on to become household names, like Harry James, Lionel Hampton, and Gene Krupa. Here’s a short version.
The Carnegie Hall CD is over 12 minutes of “Everybody blow!”

I also really like Stardust. It’s one I would sing as a lullaby to my kids when they were little.

LOL! I don’t know . . . my favorites are alway changing and I can’t decide!

I love almost anything by Van Morrison

Also love almost anything by Glen Campbell

Music from the 1950’s and 1960’s – rock 'n roll, r&b, Motown, soul, etc.

Love Mozart and Vivaldi and arias sung by Placido Domingo and Pavarotti from popular operas

However,

If you pin me on this, my second favorite song is
Small World by Johnny Mathis

My favorite song is
That Sunday, That Summer by Nat King Cole

The overture to the fairytale opera Hansel and Gretel, by the German composer Engelbert Humperdinck. Incredibly emotional and profoundly moving.

Stardust, The Very Thought of You and next up…The Way You Look Tonight
