I’m reading the perks of being a wallflower and Introduction to the Devout Life by St Francis of Sales. Also the DR bible.
 
Hi Dorothy, I recently came across Michael O’Brien and read first Father Elijah, An Apocalypse . I followed with Elijah In Jerusalem and have read it twice! Just ordered Strangers and Sojourners and thought I would try to read the series more in order from here on. You named more I will look forward to reading. He is now one of my favorite authors! than you
 
I read (some) of this book but did not finish before I needed to turn it back to library. after reading your post, I may get my own copy and really read it, study it. He did mention somewhere in there, maybe intro, that he thought it very important to finish and get it published. pax
 
I just want to mention that the books I highlighted in my post don’t have to be read in any particular order.

I am not a fan of science fiction, but did order “Voyage to Alpha Centauri”…fascinating!

I picked up a bunch of books at a used book sale this weekend. Started rereading some old favorites. C. S Lewis Mere Christianity. Nathaniel Hawthorne Complete Short Stories. Took out on loan from library the new Erasing America - Losing Our Future By Destroying Our Past by James Robbins.
 
I am reading Dickens “Tale of Two Cities” with my Sophomore daughter as she is studying the novel at HS.

I am gazing thru “Medjugorje- a portfolio of images”
and reading some from “a Catechism of the Catholic
Church” by Double Day.
 
Dang good! Very insightful, especially if you’re willing and able to be self-critical and introspective
