Recently finished “Fatherless” by Brian J. Gail.

Anyone else? Thoughts?

Time Management for Catholics by Dave Durand
Benedict’s Way by Lonni Collins Pratt and Fr. Daniel Homan OSB

They are out-of-print books, but were worth special ordering through B&N’s out-of-prints.

Let’s see…

The Secret if the Rosary by St. Louis De Montfort

God in the Foxhole by Charles W. Sasser

Fullmetal Alchemist: The Land of Sand by Makota Inoue, Original concept by Hiromu Arakawa

Macbeth by Shakespeare

👍

JPS Tanakh: The Book of Ezra, NAB Official Catholic Edition: The Gospel According to John.

After Ezra, just three more books of the Hebrew Old Testament to go! This has only taken about a full year since I believe I started reading the Tanakh in April or May of 2009.

PRIVATE RECOLLECTIONS OF JOAN OF ARC by Mark Twain

GOLDEN AFTERNOON 2nd part of the memoirs of M.M.Kaye

Love both of them .

I finished the book “Purgatory”. I’m currently reading “No Man is an Island” and “The Vatican’s Exorcists” along with “The end of the Present World and the Mysteries of the coming age” or some long title to that effect.

Merton I read at a very leisurely pace to take a break from the more heady subjects.

I’ve been reading a lot of Lenten material from our Parish.

I also read

Catholic Digest

catholicdigest.com/

Liguorian Magazines

liguorian.org/

I have to admit I’ve been reading a lot of Children’s books? 😃

“Kermits Christmas Tree” by: Sonali Fry

" A Jigsaw Jones Mystery: The case of the Marshmallow Monster" by: James Preller

" A House Inside Out" by: Penelope Lively

Just to name a few.

During the Triduum I plan to read Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen’s Characters of the Passion: Lessons in Faith and Trust as well as the little book of reflections on The Seven Last Words of Jesus put together by the kind folks at Magnificat.

Have a Blessed Week.

Right now I’m reading The Other Bolyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. I’m a HUGE geek about History (especially American and British Royals) so this is a great read so far! 👍

The book I just finished up was Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. At first, I did not like the ending but over time, I grew to see the author’s POV. 😉

One False Move by Harlan Coben. Sometimes you gotta have snack food.

I’m reading Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It’s vampire book, but not on the line of Twilight. It’s a very adult vampire story, so not recommended for children or young teens. It’s very good, but disturbing and sad in parts.

Also new to this thread, but I am always interested in what others are reading. Also, I would like to know what you liked about it, and what you disliked about the book. I especially would like any “heads-up” about books that should be avoided.

I just finished “The End of the Present World,” by Father Charles Arminjon. The main reason I ordered and read it was that St Therese of Lisieux said “Reading this book was one of the greatest graces of my life.”

I guess I would categorize the book as a personal revelation about purgatory, hell and some aspects of end times spoken about in Revelation. The way Father Arminjon expresses himself in his writing is really beautiful. It is not the traditional “Scare the heck out of you” book on the end of the world. It is rather a very thought provoking book.

Some of the most beautiful writing in the book is about the Eucharist.

I highly recommend it for individual or group study.

Stay blest!
