We Two~ about Victoria and Albert, and A little Wodehouse on the side…🙂

I’m re-reading The Twelfth Window, by J.M. Norwood. Just started on Augustine Confessions, Augustine City Of God, and the political book Game Change.

Recently finished Little Flowers Of St Francis .

Now reading, ‘‘A Reliable Wife.’’ It is a fictional story that takes back in the early 1900’s…Wisconcin. About a lonely wealthy man in his 50’s who puts an ad in the paper for a wife. Very sterile ad. A much younger woman answers the ad, and they develop a relationship…they get married. But, she is not what she seems…she plots to murder him. It is written well, I have liked it thus far…lots of twists and turns…it’s definitely not your usual murder plot type book.

The Sellout: How Three Decades of Wall Street Greed and Government Mismanagement Destroyed the Global Financial System by Charles Gasparino

I’ve just started The Children’s Book by A. S. Byatt, and I’m reading Full of Grace by Johnette Benkovic.

“Akita: The Tears and Message of Mary” by: Fr. Teiji Yasuda edited by John. M. Haffert.

“The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte”, by Karl Marx in the Barnes And Noble Classics “The Communist Manifesto and Other Writings”.

This proves a bit annoying as my frame of knowledge of French history in the 19th century-post Napoleonic Wars and pre-Franco-Prussian War seems to stem from a dated 9th grade Western Civ class that was rushing to get to World War I.

Most of what I’m reading has to do with the political climate of 1848-1851, but I feel a bit lost on some the events that have taken place.

Also, I’m almost done with the “Nevi’im” section of the JPS Tanakh with only two more books to go before hitting the “Kethuvim”. The Books of Zechariah and Malachi are next.

*On a side note, barring the Book of Dan, and any Deutero-canonical additions to other books, I’ll have read the entire Old Testament (bits from the Catholic version, and others from the Jewish version).

I’ll probably pick up the NAB Catholic version where I left off, which was at the Book of Ezekiel.

The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett

Its the first book in the Discworld Series. I’ve read a couple of the books before, but I recently picked up Guards! Guards! from a book store and now after reading it am on a mission to read the whole series.

I’m having a hard time trying to describe it, all i can say (and i’m sure i’m not doing it justice) is that its one of the funniest, most entertaining books i’ve ever read. its like alice in wonderland and wizard of oz with a satiric twist.👍

I am reading The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien, and I am loving the books!

City of God by Saint Augustine
The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
The Bible
The Catechism of the Catholic Church

Just finished The Falcons of Montabard, and am now reading Shadows and Strongholds, both by Elizabeth Chadwick. Both books take place in 12th century England (although they’re not connected) and are extremely well researched and well written historical novels.
