I cannot give you what you are searching for… Faith is only a Gift given to us by God; you seek Him with human reason and intellect… as the young lady said, you are searching for a boat, that’s long set sail, at an airport… not gonna happen!

I am not seeking faith. I am seeking knowledge.
Where faith begins, knowledge ends; and for lack of knowledge, people perish. That’s in Hosea 4:6.

…as for your own mind, I’ve no interest in having you as my clone; you have God’s given right to think and act as you please; but know that we do not own ourselves… only when you come to understand this will you submit to the Mind of Christ!

What is the mind of Christ? Is it the mind of Paul? I have been wondering because he was the one who first came up with that concept, when he spent a whole year in the Nazarene Synagogue of Antioch preaching that Jesus was Christ.

FYI–St. Paul was not Christian during Pentecost, when Kephas and the Eleven were united to over 200 hundred disciples nor did he experience the Pentecost Blessing when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and some 3000 Jews and Gentiles were united to the Church… it was only after his attempt to eradicate the Church of Christ that Saul was converted by Jesus; at this time he received the name Paul and began preaching the Gospel of Christ…

Paul never attempted to erradicate the “Church of Christ.” One does not found a church to erradicate its adepts. There were no Christians until Paul arrived in Antioch. Why don’t you read Acts 11:26? I says in there very clearly that it was then and there, when and where the disciples were FIRST called Christians, because of Paul preaching that Jesus was Christ. Why is this so hard to understand?

No offense taken. Don’t worry. I am not that easy to get offended.

You have provided enough proof to others of your lack of reasonable knowledge in your own faith not speaking of Christianity. This in itself should drive you to further learn what you have been mistaken in but you continue the debate. Its getting a little old Ben, that you quote some things are unaware of others in your own faith and interpret others wrongly and when it is offered to you, you ignore the posts trying to find a new verse to throw out there. Why do you continue to try to run on ice when you know you’re going to keep falling? If you were seeking knowledge, research what is being offered to you. If you are seeking justification for your faith, you will be sadly disappointed here. Jesus is the Messiah and He founded His church not Paul. And in 2000 years there has been no one who can realistically prove that wrong. There has been the proof that everything He proclaimed would happen has, and is occurring. There must be a reason, so do your research… I know why you came here. It’s all in the list of all your posts.
You must figure out for yourself why you **stay **here.
By the way, You missed a few posts I wrote you…

Hiyas Ben 🙂

Please define “faith” as you see it.

I have the feeling that you think those of “Faith” have blinders on.
Blinders are put on horses etc for a very real reason. I don’t know where the Church has asked…us to wear blinders OR called us to be horses.
'[Hi Kimmielittle, care to enlighten me on how I have left a bad taste in mouths toward the Jewish Community? I am not sure what you are talking about. You must be referring to hyphenated “Jews” who have been trapped by the things of Christianity. Those are the ones I have been looking for with the purpose to restore them to the faith of Jesus, which was Judaism.

Ben:
[/quote]

This statement of yours, clearly infers you have the “KNOWLEDGE’ , for you to complete this part of your statement , ’ restore them ]”

BUT here you also clearly state, you don’t possess “knowledge”

:…I am seeking “knowledge’” ]

I have watched defenders of my Faith answer your flawed logic and subjective speculations. We have heard your feeble attempts to create doubt. We have heard your insulting comments concerning Christianity and even your tried efforts of dispersions which are clearly meant to discredit ANY who see your flawed arguments - or disagree with them/you, as unable to think for ourselves…Or “antisemitic” .

In charity, might I suggest questions based on the following;

If a kid saw your flawed and erroneous statements, the way you argue with flawed logic ( not to be misconstrued with "false logic’…used in computer programing ), your insistence on not researching OUTSIDE of your self - AND pointed them out to you, many posts/threads ago.

1: How do you intend to “restore them]” ( I presume your targets are Grwnups ).You aren’t even reaching kids,?

2: How does someone search for “knowledge” in a self limiting box? you do not even acknowledge other resources, INCLUDING “your own people” . You seem bent to promote your speculations only - and ALL others as “Hellenistic” ( a word you like to use often).

3; How do you intend to teach “TRUTH” when you only use your subjective speculations, which you can’t even debate sensibly or with credibility?

Don’t you see.? Your actions, and lack of, become suspect of your “INTENT”.

While your stated goals ( though contradictory ), would seem admirable. If they are, to you, why not allow someone with better skills to take on your task.? Or why not seek an audience OF your stated target.?

If you notice I leave Scripture ( NOT that I don’t research it - it just isn’t my strength of use ), to Defenders of my Faith who do have those strengths. My strength is finding/seeing flawed logic - erroneous statements presented as facts.
I hope this helps

Hiyas Ben 🙂

Please define “faith” as you see it.

Faith is the decision to believe in something
you don’t know and don’t care to study about it.

Hi Kimmielittle, care to enlighten me on how I have left a bad taste in mouths toward the Jewish Community? I am not sure what you are talking about. You must be referring to hyphenated “Jews” who have been trapped by the things of Christianity. Those are the ones I have been looking for with the purpose to restore them to the faith of Jesus, which was Judaism.

This statement of yours, clearly infers you have the “KNOWLEDGE’ , for you to complete this part of your statement , ’ restore them ]” BUT here you also clearly state, you don’t possess “knowledge”.I am seeking “knowledge’”

We never know everything; knowledge is all that life is about. I am always seeking to know more.

In charity, might I suggest questions based on the following;
If a kid saw your flawed and erroneous statements, the way you argue with flawed logic ( not to be misconstrued with "false logic’…used in computer programing ), your insistence on not researching OUTSIDE of your self - AND pointed them out to you, many posts/threads ago.

Sorry, but you are not making sense.

1: How do you intend to “restore them]” ( I presume your targets are Grwnups )You aren’t even reaching kids?

Grownups. Kids are not responsible for their decisions. By restoring them, I intend to bring them back to the faith of Jesus, which was Judaism and leave the faith of Paul, which was Christianity.

2: How does someone search for “knowledge” in a self limiting box? you do not even acknowledge other resources, INCLUDING “your own people” . You seem bent to promote your speculations only - and ALL others as “Hellenistic” ( a word you like to use often).

That’s how I look at Christianity: A Hellenistic religion. Sorry! No offense meant.

3; How do you intend to teach “TRUTH” when you only use your subjective speculations, which you can’t even debate sensibly or with credibility?

What is the Truth? Do you happen to know what is the Truth? I give you only three quotations to understand what is the Truth and where to find it. First is John 17:17. Jesus said that the Truth is the Word of God. Second is Psalm 147:19,20. The Psalmist says that the Word of God was given to Israel only and to no other people on earth. And the third is in Isaiah 2:2,3. When the nations want instruction in the Word of God, the address is Zion, the Jewish People. That’s the Truth I teach.

While your stated goals ( though contradictory ), would seem admirable. If they are, to you, why not allow someone with better skills to take on your task.? Or why not seek an audience OF your stated target.?

If you are sure I don’t have good skills, how come you can’t answer my questions?

If you notice I leave Scripture ( NOT that I don’t research it - it just isn’t my strength of use ), to Defenders of my Faith who do have those strengths. My strength is finding/seeing flawed logic - erroneous statements presented as facts.

Sorry, but I think your strength is to assume that people who think differently from you is using flawed logic. That’s a biased attitude.

Ben: 🤷

Noted… but they are under Catch 22–if they do not keep us goyim out the Old Testament, Christians embrace the Messianic Prophecies and demonstrate that they point to Jesus Christ, the Son of God; yet, if they accept the New Testament, Christians demonstrate that Jesus is the Son of God and that it is He Who has Commanded them to come into the fold of the Church: it’s a lose-lose situation for them…

Maran atha!

Angel

And all you have to do is to prove to me that the Messianic Prophecies point to Jesus on an individual basis. That’s all. Do you want me to accept such a message just because Christians embrace it? I am sure you can do better than that. How do Christians demonstrate that Jesus is the Son of God? They surely have a strange way to show it to the Jews.

Ben: 😊

Hiyas Ben 🙂

Actually, I am probably the most least biased who first read your posts, UNTIL - I saw your try’s at supplanting your speculations as fact.

“Kids are not responsible for their decisions.”

BUT we can see when making up stuff to FIT …it’s NOT truth - but fibs.
( distortions/fabrications of truth to fit my needs at convincing someone else - I’m right … my acts are right - or righteous and others are wrong )… reminding you of your claim to “have discovered” …you KNEW this was erroneous at best…a fabrication… a distortion of truth - yet, you chose to use it ].

Questions are just that…questions.

Your unique speculations and attempts to supplant them as facts…AREN’T worthy of answers. Would you as a Grwnup give credibility to my fibs / distortions.?

In your opinion is this questions answer true.?

** "Question: “Why do most Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah?”

Answer: ** The Jews rejected Jesus because He failed, in their eyes, to do what they expected their Messiah to do—destroy evil and all their enemies and establish an eternal kingdom with Israel as the preeminent nation in the world. The prophecies in Isaiah and Psalm 22 described a suffering Messiah who would be persecuted and killed, but they chose to focus instead on those prophecies that discussed His glorious victories, not His crucifixion.

The commentaries in the Talmud, written before the onset of Christianity, clearly discuss the Messianic prophecies of Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 and puzzle over how these would be fulfilled with the glorious setting up of the Kingdom of the Messiah. After the Church used these prophecies to prove the claims of Christ, the Jews took the position that the prophecies did not refer to the Messiah, but to Israel (“Zion” ) or some other person.

The Jews believed that the Messiah, the prophet which Moses spoke about, would come and deliver them from Roman bondage and set up a kingdom where they would be the rulers. Two of the disciples, James and John, even asked to sit at Jesus’ right and left in His Kingdom when He came into His glory. The people of Jerusalem also thought He would deliver them. They shouted praises to God for the mighty works they had seen Jesus do, and called out “Hosanna, save us” when he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey (Matthew 21:9). They treated Him like a conquering king. Then when He allowed Himself to be arrested, tried and crucified on a cursed cross, the people stopped believing that He was the promised prophet. They rejected their Messiah (Matthew 27:22).’]

A response to you… “nice twist, What questions did you ask me that I didn’t respond to, which post numbers? your not here to learn, by your words you are here to try to bring back those Christians who were previously of Jewish heritage, remember?
Was not Jesus Jewish and was not Zion a place of reverence for Jesus and the Apostles? After all, Christianity derived from the Jewish heritage whether you like hearing it or not. It is not up to me to convert you if it is to be, it will be by the will of God. I spent 25 years finding fault with the Church until I used methods, resources, and contacts through my past profession to find out the truth for myself and I was dead wrong and ashamed of myself. But it is each person’s responsibility to learn the truth and pursue it. Researching through numerous credible sources, non-biased and historically first before theologically, especially when you are someone like me who questions and analyzes just about everything. You can’t do it by researching the Jewish heritage alone. If you have questions that I can answer I will, but I will not play the ego entertainment game here with you.”

You can start by responding to post 194 for instance. After all it was a response to your question. Your very selective at passing over what you can not refute. How much research have you done in Christianity to try to discredit it. Little to none you have shown. But if it is your position that Christianity is wrong it is on you to prove how so in a Christian forum, not throw biased unsupported accusations out there and claim them to be fact. You showed you are not familiar with your own faith when you claimed there was never a Jewish law ordering stoning of those who are adulterers but then you never responded to that post either. Did you ever think it might be your bios that feeds your ignorance to learning the truth? Many of your heritage have grown in realization just by removing the cloud of bios.

It’s your responsibility to seek the truth. If you want to learn to find out, ask questions with the intent of learning, not with blind prejudice. no one here came to you to insult you. You came here and although for the wrong reasons, you can still learn something if you allow yourself. No one can make you believe anything but you can certainly learn what is truth if you seek to.

Ben: I don’t understand you: If I ask a question, I am insulting. If I give an answer, I am insulting. What’s going on?
Do I have to accept whatever you say without question? Is that how the Catholic Church indoctrinates people?

Did you know that the Middle Age has long gone? Wake up! We have grown up from that retrograded mentality. That fear of the Church is long gone. We no longer have to swallow what the priests chew.

On the contrary, they have a lot to learn from us, especially the Jews. If it were not for us the Jews, you guys wouldn’t even have the second person of your Trinity. If it were not for us the Jews, the world would still be in the cave worshipping the stone and the fire, and perhaps even a block of wood in the form of a demon. Be grateful to the Almighty that we are around.

Ben: That’s true. Do you wanna know why? Because “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)
Be sure to check my quotations.

Was not Jesus Jewish and was not Zion a place of reverence for Jesus and the Apostles? After all, Christianity derived from the Jewish heritage whether you like hearing it or not.

Ben: Sorry, but you can’t prove anything you say.
Christianity did not derive from Jewish heritage. What Paul founded in Antioch, where his followers started being called Christians for the first time, was never Jewish heritage. It was Hellenistic heritage. (Acts 11:26) Don’t forget to check my quotations. And so far, I haven’t seen one single quotation of yours to prove anything you say.

It is not up to me to convert you if it is to be, it will be by the will of God.

Ben: The same thing can be said from me to you.

I spent 25 years finding fault with the Church until I used methods, resources, and contacts through my past profession to find out the truth for myself and I was dead wrong and ashamed of myself.

Ben: It doesn’t mean anything to me if your conversion to the Church was not based in knowledge and research. Conversions based on eruptions of the excitements of faith are as good as those who are dying for lack of knowledge according to Hosea 4:6.

But it is each person’s responsibility to learn the truth and pursue it. Researching through numerous credible sources, non-biased and historically first before theologically, especially when you are someone like me who questions and analyzes just about everything.

Ben: This accusation of being biased is a cop-out
based on weakness of literary resource. You are as biased as you
think I am. So, stop the nonsense and let’s compare what we have researched. Zeal will take us nowhere if it’s not followed by the proprer knowledge.

You can’t do it by researching the Jewish heritage alone. If you have questions that I can answer I will, but I will not play the ego entertainment game here with you.”

Ben: I have researched much beyond the Jewish heritage. You can see that from my knowledge of your own NT whose questions you can’t answer or refute.

Ben: Behold, I have answered your post 194. What was the big deal? I saw no wheel to be discovered.

Ben:

Ben: COMPLETELY WRONG! Not all Jews believe in an individual Messiah. I am of those who believe that the Messiah is collective. I mean, Israel, the Jewish People according to the Prophet Isaiah. Now, let me prove it to you: You believe that the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 is the Messiah, don’t you? I believe you do. Now, please, read Isaiah 41:8,9; 44:1,2,21; 45:4. In these quotations the Prophet Isaiah identifies that Servant as Israel by name. And if the Messiah must also be called son of God, you can have it from Exodus 4:22,23 and Hosea 11:1, where the Almighty Himself says: “Israel is My son; let My son go so that he may serve Me.” And “When Israel was a child, I loved him. Then, from Egypt I called My son.” There is no such a thing in the whole of the Jewish Scriptures about Jesus. I am sorry. The prophecies in Isaiah and Psalm 22 do describe the sufferings of the Messiah but not of Jesus. That’s the collective Messiah. If you wanna a positive proof for that, please read what the Psalmist says in Psalm 44:11-26. But please, read them.

them to Jesus based on assumptions without any basis in facts. It works only for those who are ready to swallow what has been chewed by the Fathers of the Church. No more today. We have decided to use our minds to think productively.

The Jews believed that the Messiah, the prophet which Moses spoke about, would come and deliver them from Roman bondage and set up a kingdom where they would be the rulers. When Moses appeared, they thought he was the one, when in reality, Moses was only a Messianic leader with the mission to bring the Messiah back home. We still have of these kinds of Jews today, still waiting for an individual Messiah-hero to establish a kingdom of Jews. It’s a shame our friend Ben is once again under “review”. As according to his belief, he would HAVE to answer yes to my above question.

Making him one of the “collective”, thus a part of his Messiah.

I was ready with this:
Why would your Messiah need to fib.?

" “BUT we can see when making up stuff to FIT …it’s NOT truth - but fibs.

		 			 		 		 		 		Hiyas Ben,
What you are suggesting is not new…Thus you haven’t, “discovered the wheel” . Rudolf Steiner - the 20th century Austrian scientist and philosopher has voiced this and his schools teach it to this day. So the quoted words here "Don’t you think this is the wheel I have discovered? "] are erroneous. Is this innocent or plagiaristic? …I hope you are following what I’m trying to express here ( as you are accusing…now can’t I turn the tables and ask the same of you? ) I’m not but you left it open.🙂

You have lost your credibility in your argument.
You have not proved one part of your thoughts.
You have failed in the “test” if you can prove one part of a theory/testimony as false, ( a lie ) … ].
I have just proved you didn’t “discover”, as you claimed, thus goes the credibility of your argument.

This is logic and it’s laws governing logic, at work.

Prove the above to me in the Scriptures that Yeshua used to handle, and we are in business.

What you claim came from God, was spoken by a former Jew who had to break up with the faith of Jesus, which was Judaism. Paul was his name.

Ben:
Ben, there’s nothing I can do to prove to you that Yahweh God wants you!

You seemingly reason from Scriptures but you are selective in what you accept as Truth–Jesus explained it this way:

7 Hypocrites! How rightly Isaiah prophesied about you when he said:
8 This people honours me only with lip-service, while their hearts are far from me.

9 Their reverence of me is worthless; the lessons they teach are nothing but human commandments.’
10 He called the people to him and said, ‘Listen, and understand.
11 What goes into the mouth does not make anyone unclean; it is what comes out of the mouth that makes someone unclean.’
12 Then the disciples came to him and said, ‘Do you know that the Pharisees were shocked when they heard what you said?’
13 He replied, ‘Any plant my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
14 Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind; and if one blind person leads another, both will fall into a pit.’ (St. Matthew 15:7-14–NJB)

If you were truly interested in studying the Sacred Scriptures I would be more than willing to engage you; sadly, I suspect that your quest is to return to a pre-Messianic era where circumvention of the Law was business as usual.

Maran atha!
