My search for teacher is not complete but have got some help from David Cooper. He is not concerned with age.
but he lives overseas (and thats too far for me to walk) just jokin its too far for to travell.

He says some catholics practice modified kaballah.

the practice i have done are very much in line with my prayer understanding, at some points i was a bit scared at how much i had been doing just from prayer inspiration.

So far i would have to testify it is a truth.

If it does not work for people they may have a false God image.

As for some one saying it is about pop? nothing disgusting in it that i know of.

In the Middle Ages, a number of Catholic theologians were motivated to study Kabbalah, because they felt certain refererences in it referred to their deity, Jesus. Consequently, a whole movement arose called “Christian Kabbalah”. Unfortunately (for Christians), it degenerated into some sort of occultic thing (I don’t know more because I never had the interest to delve into it more than that.)

The teachings of the Kabbalah were orally transmitted for thousands of years until finally (like the Talmud), they were set into writing to avoid them becoming lost or corrupted (just so everyone knows the background).

Jewish writings tell us that the misuse of Kabbalistic mystical teachings can be detrimental to the person who dabbles in them. This is why the rabbis decreed that no one should study its teachings until they were married and past the age of 40. They felt those two traits were required for spiritual maturity.

The Galilee area, in Jesus’ time, was a hotbed of Kabbalah study, and much of his teachings originated in the Kabbalah (another reason why medieval Christian theologians studied it).

The Kabbalah teaches how to correctly pronounce God’s 4 letter Name, but if it is misused (such as to work miracles for personal gain), the person doing so will die before age 40, and will die a shameful death. This is what Kabbalah itself warns to those who study its writings and misuse them.

I always found it interesting that two of the miracles that can be done by those who know how to correctly manipulate the 4 letter Name (according to the Kabbalah itself) is to be able to walk on water and raise the dead.

In John, Jesus prays to God that he has “revealed Your Name to those You have given me”…I often wondered if that meant he taught his followers how to manipulate the true Name, and maybe THAT is why the Pharisees accused him of blasphemy?

Note also, Jesus died at age 33 in a very shameful way (by ancient standards).
 
This is what I think about Kabballah:
Philip Berg is the man spreading the word on Kabballah since 1971, and as Mim Udovitch puts it, "he has created a multimillion dollar brand out of Judaism, larding it with pricey accessories and bold-faced names.
Of course the Bergs are unhappy about this:rolleyes:
When close attention is paid to Kabballah, rather than just having it dance around the periphery of one’s attention, most people will recognize it as silly.
1.) False claims the Centre has made about its distinguished origins

2.) The Centre’s solicitation of free-lance ghost-writers on the website “Craigslist” to help the Berg’s write “scholarly” books on Kabballah, some of which the writers are encouraged to model on new-age best-sellers.

3.) The previously **unreported **lawsuit that charged Philip Berg with copyright infringement and plagarism.

4.) The Centres penchant for lending money to companies owned by close friends and associates of Berg’s, including more than $2 million in loans to company with a p.o. box address that flips investments properties in L.A. neighborhoods as Compton and Watts.

5.) The Bergs luxurious lifestyle, in stark contrast to the bleak four-to-a-bedroom conditions and $35.00 a month stipend they offer the full time volunteers who cook and clean for them.

6.) The Centre’s use of cult-like techniques to control members, including sleep deprivation, alienation from friends and family, and Kabballah-dictated matchmaking.
  1. The bizarre scientific claims made by the Centre’s leaders on behalf of Kabballah water, ranging from it’s ability to cleanse the lakes of Chernobyl of radiation to it’s power to cure cancer, Aids, and Sars.
    Kabballah Centre founder Philip Berg is so revered, that some of his followers believe he has the power to resurrect the dead.
 
I have said this numerous times, and so have AUTHENTIC teachers of Kabbalah (which would be almost any Chasidic rabbi), but:

PHILIP BERG IS A FAKER. HE IS NOT A GENUINE RABBI OR TEACHER OF KABBALAH. HE IS TO KABBALAH WHAT JW’S ARE TO MAINSTREAM CHRISTIANITY (does that help everyone understand it a little better?)

I don’t want to learn “Kabballah” thank you. And other people study Kabballah, not only Jews.

You are misleading people here about Kabballah. It is not just intended for Jews only. Furthermore, it is quite understandable that Kabballah could be confused with Judaism. Throughout history many scholars of Kabballah have been Jewish, but there have also been many non-Jewish scholars such as Christian-Knorr-Von-Resonroth, Pico Della and Sir Isaac Newton.
The starting truth is that Kabballah was never meant for a specific sect. Rather it was intended to be used by ALLhumanity to unify the world.
The Kabballah Centre was founded in Jerusalem in 1922 by Rav Yehuda Ashlay. Before his passing, he handed it over to Berg to continue the lineage.
Today there are people (as yourself) who believe that if you are Christian, or “not holy enough”, you should not have access to Kabballah. Simply not true.

Believe what you want 🤷 I’m telling you what the people to whom the Kabbalistic information was entrusted would tell you.

Historically, those who delved deepest into Kabbalistic knowledge without proper precautions and without adhering to rabbinic safeguards, either ended up starting heretical sects, converted to other religions, went insane or had other serious problems.
 
Quick question: does real Kabbalah have anything to do with a red string around one’s wrist?

No (I know why you’re asking…Berg likes to sell the red thread bracelets, etc) :rolleyes:

The scarlet thread comes from an old Jewish tradition of tying a thread around the tomb of the matriarch Rachel, in the Holy Land. Its a pious custom, nothing more. Berg has turned it into some sort of good luck charm which he sells.

i too ponder this.

The kaballah that i was prayer inspired to seek cant be the same thing as most of the posts here.
It supposed to be very secret, lost of posts show it as available to any.
The prayer inspiration i was given fits the danger warnings offered in this thread.
After the inspiration have been very scared to do anything as the responsibility is huge, i dont mean big i mean huge.
It was shown to me that if used wrongly there would be enormous consequences in my “time and space” the example offered is turning a stick into a snake could have all sticks into snakes. Further purification of my heart is very important.

Kaballa is something i personally have reservations to be a part of, my life is sweet now, I am very blessed, easier for me to just cruise along, but the spirit know what is needed of me for the will of The Most High.

So i guess as with many things, it is not for me to choose, just submit.

May we all be blessed as we seek unity in our appointed places.

Yes, I agree, like the Crucifixion, I wish they could have made it pretty.

Beating to the bone at a pillar, a hideous Crown of thorns, spitting, whips, chains, jeering, mocking, nails through you hands and feet, and a lance through your side, and gall and vinegar to quench your thirst.

God certainly doesn’t make us feel sick to our stomachs.
 
Today we live such a clean, sanitized life, especially compared to what people lived 2,000 years ago. Those who got in the way of the Romans were crucified publicly, with their bodies left on the crosses for all to see. Seeing your countrymen treated that way would make one sick to the stomach. I am sure many people of the day felt that way. To know that the Great God would love His people enough to suffer just as they did (we do) and then to prove His promises by rising again, what hope that must have given those who lived in that time and suffered those same indignities. In our culture of relative ease, worrying more about the state of our stomachs, how much harder is it for people to appreciate God’s Love.
 
It is true that life was harder then but it wasn’t totally bad under the Romans. Except for periods of persecution aimed mainly at Christians where their fellow countrymen showed their love for Christ most of the period of Roman rule was one of peace and civilization as compared to neighboring regions.

If you believe in quantum physics, or something way over my head, then the miracle of Lanciano can be ratinoalized away. It take considerably less mathematics to see that eventually someone is going to pick however many previously-owned articles are required.
