What do you admire about islam/muslims?

algebra, that article doesn’t make sense. The violence against the Christians coming from the muslims has been much greater. Israel only protected itself - and they even gave humanitarian aid.
I can assure you that Christian arabs suffered just as much, if not more than muslims did in the creation of israel.

The fact that you do not know this
  1. Because they chose to go quietly into the night
  2. They did not respond and get aggressive in return (unlike the muslims)
Zionist jews bombed churches in their grab for israel.
The persecution of the Gazan Christians not only is still going on, but went on before the war - so what does Israel have to do with that?
I don’t understand what you are trying to prove now.
Which war?
All you have shown me is that some Christians have misdirected their pleas since they should be directing them towards the muslims. Or is it that they know that is futile?!?!
This is getting boring, I will explain it one last time.

Israelis are as responsible for the suffering of christians in palestine as muslims are.

Muslims werent persecuting christians, until radical islam of the salafi brand showed up.
We can thank the saudis for that.

Israelis bombed churches and christian villages to clear the land to create israel.

Yes, however I can assure you that when they were bombing the church in bethelehem (the one where jesus was supposedly born) they were very pleased with themselves.

You people havent ever talked to zionist jews about this stuff I can see.
Algebra, I don’t know all the crimes Zionist Jews have committed but trust me when I say, I do not appreciate their actions anymore than I appreciate the actions committed by fascist Muslims.

And no I have never spoken to a Zionist Jew, I don’t ever wish to.

I wonder if Ben Masada (he’s a poster on CAF) is a Zionist Jew?

Algebra and Agabriel, why are you fighting each other? Fine, you differ in some respects, but both of you should be working together to fight the problem. What do you propose to do? How should the problem with Israel and Palestine be confronted?

Please stop arguing. You seem like your both well-intentioned guys.

the problem the Christians are having are due to the jihadists in the Gaza - not the Israelis.
The few Palestinian Christians that I know tell me that it is actually due to both. They do not have an ally in their own land, since the radical anti-Israelism that is there is usually expressed in Muslim language that also threatens them (nevermind that Christian Palestinians have ALWAYS supported the liberation of Palestine, even from within Israel). They are treated like “double agents” in Israel, too, because of their ethnic and religious identities. I do not envy the Palestinian Christians, who just want to live in peace without being molested by anyone. They are caught between the powerful forces of zionism and Islamic nationalism and neither belongs to them. They were on the land before either of those ideas existed as they are today. We ought to start thinking more about their needs and less about the needs of the Israelis. The Israelis have their state already, and it is built upon the oppression of the Palestianians of all faiths. The Palestinian Christians are the only ones without any help. The Barnabas Fund mentioned in your post, while it does good work, is not an Israeli organization, so it is not a good example of Jewish Israelis trying to help Christians. I am not saying that his would never happen, but if it does I certainly have not heard about it. The Arab-Israeli Bible Society and other organizations mentioned by the Barnabas Fund are foundations of Arab Christian citizens of Israel, not Arab-Israeli (or any other kind of Israeli) Jews.

The Israelis are NOT the friends of the Christians, so I personally see no reason to support them any more than I would support the Islamists on the other side. Both groups would ultimately like to get rid of the Christians and Christianity all together from the Holy land. May God help the Palestinian Christians so that may never, ever happen.

I propose to tell people that dont know about the situation to stay out of the way.

I myself, will stay out of the way.

Ignore it.
Algebra, don’t you think the International community should put pressure on Hamas rather than Israel. I think that if we could get rid of Hamas, more than half the problems of the Palestinians would disappear. We need to start a grassroots movement, condemning their use of violence, like the liberal left as done with Israel. I do not think this is impossible.

I just want to know where he is getting this stuff about zionists. I can’t find any articles about what he is asserting.

I am not fighting him.

You want to know how I would solve the problem with Israel and Palestine? … kick the muslims out of Gaza and tell the muslim nations to start assimilating them in and shaddap about all this ‘victimization’ stuff. They are not victims not when they lob bombs into Israel on a daily basis.

Since the muslims have not kept their part of the agreement for Gaza they should be removed, or comply.

Just last week they aimed for a school in Israel. Rocket hits empty school in Negev. Thank goodness it was empty.

But, that is only my opinion and it won’t go too far.

Holding muslims to any promise they make doesn’t seem to be the 'world’s concern!

Yes; Hamas must go, no doubt about that.
The Salafis and their saudi money have to be curtailed/eradicated. This is critical to any success in the mid east.

Israel will deal with itself - it is a democracy and too many jews oppose the loony zionists.

you see zionism (zionist thinking) is more entrenched in the US and the US govt than even in israel. Particularly with the evangelical (nut job) Christians.

So far the US has not been an unbiased broker. So you can never get peace.
This is because of the very powerful jewish lobbies (they are the real problem) in the US.

Dude where are you getting this muslim stuff from?

I keep telling you zionists are as happy to wipe you (christians) out as the muslims.

And they have already done that in Israel.

LOL. Bizarre, that’s all I can say.

I have them visit me all the time trying to get me to accept Christ and reject the great whore (catholic church).

I guess that $900million of our hard earned tax money that went to Gaza doesn’t count. Or the muslim lobby in our government. Well, some of the problem with that lobby is that we have found out their direct ties to the terrorists - now, go figure 🤷 .

I don’t think we should stay out of it. We should support Israel. But, since the Gazans have broken their promise, yet again, we should not be supporting them. This is just more of the same from them.

Regarding U.S. missionaries working among already Christian people, Jharek and Algebra are right as to their ignorance, but it is not always so wasted. My own journey to the Catholic faith, to Apostolic Christianity, started when I was asked to accompany a mission trip of the local Presbyterian church to Mexico (since they needed a native Spanish speaker, and they were all anglos). I went with my mother (I was around 12 years old at the time), and we stayed and worked in an orphanage in Mexico. The orphanage was run by the local Catholic priest, and that was my first real exposure to Catholicism outside of the funerals of my grandfather and a school friend, and it is something that really stuck in my mind all those years later when I decided that I ought to give religion another look…

So, uh…sometimes that sort of thing happens. (I have heard similar stories from former Protestants converted to Orthodoxy, so I know it is not just me!)

No it doesnt, because its only being used as bribe money and to rebuild the destruction the IDF leaves behind.

What muslim lobby? you mean the robber oil barrons?

You shouldnt support anyone because you dont know enough to have a valid opinion.

Hamas is a problem I will grant you that.

Now you are lumping all Israelis in as Zionists.

You keep saying that but here is the deal - the Zionists are an aberration, from what I am guessing. while jihadists are not an aberration in islam.

In islam the reason why there is no peace with israel is not over land, or the West, or anything - it has to do with the teachings of Muhammad. The only peace they recognize is death, conversion or dhimmitude. And the Israelis are not behaving as proper dhimmi. This is all that it is about.

The Israelis have the audacity to think of themselves as free people and to even strike back at a muslim is just absurd for the Muslim mind to comprehend. It would be like a turd, or an ape, or pig, striking back at you.

Why do you think they start the name calling? They start the dehumanizing of Jews very early in life so they have no problem eradicating them. If they thought of them as human beings and deserving of life, happiness and whatever while on this eart, then they wouldn’t be doing what they do. Because they are the ones who are continually firing in on them with their missiles. I have already posted links to articles about that.

And all I get is some ‘noise’ about Zionists.

It is like anything that they use as an excuse to do their violence for example that they want us dead because we are immoral, or we are polytheists, or we are ‘the Great Satan’, or whatever the keyword for the day is over there. They want the world under Islam’s rule and that is that.

Look at Bosnia, the violence is escalating there too. As it did for decades and when the Christians start firing back the muslims will start whining that they are the victims and that we should help them. Same story, different date/time and different people. They used Milosevic as an excuse for violence, but somehow we didn’t realize that for decades the muslim torture and killing of Christians has been going on for some time. We secularize the news to make it more palatable. (source: The Revenge of The Prophet) And as usual the Muslims turn and twist history to whatever they want it to be so as to make themselves out to be the victims.

In the above article, the clerics are dehumanizing the Jews in Israel and they are encouraging the same thing in the Balkans. we can hear and read their dehumanizing non-muslims.
The obliteration of Israel is heralded in a torrent of words. “Zionist terrorists,” the imam thunders from the glass-enclosed pulpit at the end of the mosque. “Animals in human form” have transformed the Gaza Strip into a “concentration camp,” and this marks “the beginning of the end” for the Jewish pseudo-state.
Berate Christian fundamentalists, or Zionists, I would still rather live next to them rather than muslims.

I know a family of Israelis and I have never been threatened. And I don’t have to worry if they are deceiving me! Unlike muslims who are told to deceive us even as taking us as friends. You cannot believe liars.

Oh, no…I didn’t take it as Protestant-bashing at all, and I wouldn’t think that anybody else would, either. When I wrote “ignorance”, I meant literal ignorance, as in, they did not know anything about the histories of the society or culture that they were entering. It was the same case on the missionary trip I described, since as I mentioned I was the only one who spoke Spanish, so I have no idea what other people must’ve gotten out of it, cultural lesson-wise. To my knowledge, we did not “convert” anyone (and I personally did not, since I did not hand out any Bibles or preach against Catholicism; my hometown was back then +/- 50% Roman Catholic of Latin American extraction, so I would like to think we would have all known better!).

Rather, ultimately, they (and particularly the priest who ran the orphanage) converted me! That was the only point of my post. No Protestant-bashing.

Absolutely.

I was wondering about why God would allow the schism of the Latin Church.

And I realised it was because God was protecting His church when he allowed it to happen.

It was necessary for the well being of Christianity that the reformation take place.

Thank God for the protestants.
