I wear a Crucifix, a brown Scapular, a St Benedict medal, and a St Stephen or St Gemma Galgani medal. Sometimes the Passionist Scapular.

I wear a cloth Scapular at all times except when I shower. When I shower I wear the Scapular medal.

I can’t help imagining that poster with the swimmer Mark Spitz wearing all of his Olympic medals. Or a Catholic Mr.T, as someone previously observed.

I wear the Cross of St. Benedict usually. Sometimes a Miraculous Medal and a St. Benedict medal, too.

Hi,

I’m a 24 yo woman and I always wear a plain gold cross under my clothes. It hangs on a rather long chain, so that the cross lies right over my heart.

Actually, I’d like to ask especially the ladies on this forum - how long is the chain your cross hangs on? I’m asking because I decided to use a long chain so that the cross could lie symbolically where my heart is, but recently someone suggested a short chain could be better, to avoid attracting looks.

Any thoughts about that?

thanks. God bless

I wear a scapular with a small crucifix and small St. Benedict Medal on it and a St. Catherine of Alexandria medal on a separate chain.

I sometimes wear a Rosary around my neck, underneath my shirt(s). And when I feel the need to pray a Divine Mercy Chaplet, or a Rosary on the rare occasion, I take it off from underneath and use it.

Usually I wear nothing, but sometimes I wear it.

I currently wear a Fivefold Scapular, Crucifix, a Crucifix on the Scapular, a Saint Benedict Medal on the Scapular, and a Miraculous Medal.

Cannot vote. I wear a crucifix with a Saint Benedict medal in it. My aunt got it in Medjugorje and gave it to me for a baptism, confirmation and first Eucharist present.

Anyone have a good reason to wear their necklaces, medals, ect. showing, as oppsed to under your shirt(s)?

I wear mine under my shirt because it seems some Christians think it is just to be stylish, and not devotional. I do not want people to judge Catholicism and my practices incorrectly.

Naw. I personally wear my Silver 1.5 inch Miraculous Medal on the outside of my shirt. Say it loud and say it proud. I often then get inquiries and then have a teachable moment with them. Especially Protestants. Also people that are Evil then see where I stand and do not attempt to incorporate me in their shenanigans.

Not being flamboyant. Just me. They like it or not. If some think I am foolish - well I have been a fool for lesser things to be sure! 😉

After Divine Mercy Sunday Mass I purchased a wooden Crucifix with a string at the parish gift shop! I love it and it is beautiful.

I wear a Miraculous Medal that has been blessed by pope John Paul II and a brown scapular medal on the same chain. I feel it’s armor for my soul and feel naked w/out them. I also have a green scapular that I keep close so I can pray for my brother who has a terminal disease

I wear a Celtic Eastern Orthodox Baptismal Crucifix and a St Benedict Medal. I have a three bar Cross (Orthodox Cross) tattoo on my wrist so that if they ever illegalize the Cross, I will always have the Cross on my wrist. 🙂

I have a little stone cross on a black cord that was given to me during RCIA, after our first scrutiny. I have a blessed St. Benedict’s medal to attach to it, but the ring on it broke so I need to find some other way to attach it.

I use military dog tag chains so that my necklace won’t break. 🙂

I wear a four way medal, st. gertrude, holy family, and guardian angel on one chain all the time. Is a four way medal different from a brown scapular medal?
Information would be great!
THanks,

Currently a medal coming from early Christian symbols …the anchor and fish…
