I wear a beautiful blue and silver cross I bought in the Holy Land. and on the same chain a Miraculous medal. I also wear the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. In my car I have a Rosary attached to my vision mirror.
When attending last Divine Mercy Sunday the Priest said " Would anyone know by speaking to you, or entering your house, or by your religious objects know you were a Catholic" He did not mean of course " in your face", but gently and not to be afraid to let it be know what you are - a Catholic. very gently. :signofcross::

God Bless :):

I wear a Trinity knot and I’m hoping to get a medal of Our Lady to wear on the same chain.

Currently…the Chi Rho with alpha and omega (early Christian copy).

I wear a Crucifix and a Miraculous Medal, which was blessed by our Bishop.

My wife are waiting for the First Saturday blessing before we start wearing the scapulars we picked up from the church.

I switch around a bit, but I wear a medal of Our Lady, blessed by the Pope, a miraculous medal blessed by our deacon, a cross with small portraits of the saints on it, a bracelet with saints on it, a necklace with portraits of Jesus and Mary and a Mary necklace with a large and six smaller oval portraits of Mary. I also have a cloisonne rosary blessed by our parish priest.

I wear the fivefold (five-in-one) scapular. It’s of the five best-known scapulars. Pictures of it and a description of the five here

The Brown, Red and Blue scapulars in the fivefold scapular have special promises either made by Jesus or Mary for wearing them. They are really big promises. I’d get this one if you want one if only for the promises.

I am a new Catholic and don’t know as much as I’d like to about the scapulars (i.e., what you need to do to enroll, etc).

*Procedure for the Blessing and Investiture Of the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Priest - Show us, O Lord, Thy mercy.

Respondent- And grant us Thy salvation.

Priest - Lord, hear my prayer.

Respondent - And let my cry come unto Thee.

Priest - The Lord be with you.

Respondent - And also with you.

Priest - Lord Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, sanctify by Thy power these scapulars, which for love of Thee and for love of Our lady of Mount Carmel, Thy servants will wear devoutly, so that through the intercession of the same Virgin Mary, Mother of God, and protected against the evil spirit, they persevere until death in Thy grace. Thou who lives and reigns world without end. Amen.

THE PRIEST SPRINKLES HOLY WATER AND INVESTS PERSON(S) WHILE SAYING:

Receive this blessed Scapular and beseech the Blessed Virgin that through Her merits, you may wear it without stain. May it defend you against all adversity and accompany you to eternal life. Amen.

AFTER THE INVESTITURE THE PRIEST CONTINUES WITH THE PRAYERS:

I, by the power vested in me, admit you to participate in all the spiritual benefits obtained through the mercy of Jesus Christ by the Religious Order of Mount Carmel.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

May God Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and earth, bless you, He who has deigned to join you to the confraternity of the Blessed Virgin Of Mount Carmel; we beseech Her to crush the head of the ancient serpent so that you my enter into possession of your eternal heritage, through Christ our Lord.

Respondent - Amen. *

The Brown Scapular

At the moment I wear nothing though in my younger days I wore a cross for a time. I am currently in the beginning stages of formation as a Lay Dominican so at some point, if I am accepted, I will wear a Dominican Cross and the white scapular of the Order of Preachers. I have thought about wearing something prior to that (I have had my eye on a Celtic cross for a while now) but I will likely wait until I am received into the OP.

Peace all,

I wear nothing around my neck, and no jewelry at all. My wife and I don’t even have wedding rings.

I honestly don’t remember whether I already responded to this post.🤷😃

I wear a small crucifix, a Saint Michael medal and a St Benedict medal.

I wear the crucifix for obvious reasons, the St Benedict medal because it was recommended to me by someone on this forum and the St Michael medal because he is my patron Saint.

Here is some important info about the Miraculous Medal, one of Mother Theresa’s
favorites.

“Have a medal struck… All who wear it will receive GREAT graces; they should wear it
around the neck. GRACES will ABOUND for persons who wear it with CONFIDENCE.”
From the mother of Jesus spoken to sister Catherine Laboure 1830.

“Great graces are often attached to what seems trifling.” St. Margaret Mary Alacoque

“The devotions we practice in honor of the glorious Virgin Mary, however trifling they be,
are very pleasing to her divine Son, …” St. Teresa of Jesus

During this apparition, Mary’s hands had 3 rings on each finger. Each ring gave off
rays of colored light. A few rings did not. Mary said that the lights radiating from
the rings are graces that people ASK for. The rings that didn’t radiate she said
were graces not given because they were NOT asked for.

It is blessed. The devil hates blessed objects. Keep it on all all times.
Wear her medal in her honor because the devil can’t stand her either.

Then say, “Mary I am asking now for great graces which
you promised to those who ask and believe you.”
Trust her, it works. She is the mother of God. Would she lie?
She wants you to wear it. It is her gift. She promised and she will diliver.

“Yes, blessed is she who BELIEVED that the PROMISE made her by the Lord would be FULFILLED.”
(Lk. 1;45) St. Elizabeth

I hope to start wearing a St. Benedict medal soon, if I can get mine blessed. I’m about to start a thread on that question, actually.

I wear a Miraculous Medal (well, I did until my son started deciding he wanted to tug on the chain every time I picked him up.) It was actually given to me by a priest in Confession and it has really helped me grow in my faith.

I wear a silver Benedictine crucifix with proper blessing. It was also touched to a relic of the True Cross. I never take it off.

I wear a Miraculous Medal. I used to wear a scapular around junior high but I admit that I stopped wearing one because it sticks at the most awkward times. And sometimes, the strings wear out and I have to keep replacing it.

I wear several things, all on one chain, around my neck.
I need to get a new blessed Miraculous Medal to add to them.
But currently I wear:
  1. an authentic, papally-blessed Agnus Dei in a silver color heartshaped locket, which
I glued shut so that the blessed Agnus Dei wax could NEVER fall out.
  2. a rather larger than usual sized Blessed medal of OUR LADY OF AMERICA.
  3. a Blessed medal with 3rd class relic of Saint Anthony of Padua
  4. a Blessed medal of Saint Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer.
and, soon, another new and blessed Miraculous Medal.
I also just received, but am not yet wearing, a medal of Mary Undoer of Knots
( I haven’t had it blessed yet). So my neck chain is loaded with medals.
So, in a lightning storm, I’ll either DRAW the lightning to me because of the medals,
OR, the Lord may graciously protect me from lightning because I am, in faith,
wearing the medals (and the authentic, very rare Agnus Dei in it’s locket).
    Love,
