I live next door to a wonderful muslim man named Muhammad. He is Pakistani and works very hard. He has lived here in the USA for nearly 35 years and supports his family who remain in Pakistan. We are very good friends and discuss many of the same issues that you have addressed. He seems to understand that christians worship only ONE GOD, even with the unexplainable 3=1, 1=3. He of course does not accept the christian belief, but he seems to let it lie. He is very angry at the Islamic world for the violence inflicted on non-muslims.shall we judge religion by its teachings or its followers?
I have another friend named Nadeem who lives in Pakistan and is christian. He is poor and has a wife and one child. He takes care of his elderly parents. One month ago two men shot at him with a gun and ran him over with a car. He has not been able to work because of the injuries. The two men are muslim and the police will not do anything. They shot at him because he is christian.
I know that Islam is a rightious religion. Women are to treated with dignity, the Quran teaches that all muslims are brothers and that God is Allmighty.
There was a time that, for centuries, the Catholic Church caused injury and was not rightious. But, the Catholic Church has matured and has accepted responsibility for its actions. It now is a leader of peace in the world.
Several months ago the Pope quoted a 12th century emperor and the muslim world became very angry. The quote said something that showed that the muslim world had a very violent past. How did the muslim world react? It chastised the Pope and did not accept its responsibility. A christian priest and a nun , a holy woman dedicated to the work of GOD, were killed in reaction to the statement made by the Pope.
The world judges what is seen on the news and the past behaviour of the muslim world. It is the public perception that impacts what people think and how they behave. While I know that Islam teaches peace, it is the constant violence that people see.
You are in Egypt. Why don’t you speak out against the violence that is put on the Coptic Christians? Do you or do you not agree that the violence must stop?

The reason it happened apparently was because the man is a Christians. That’s it. That is the only reason that is often needed. I’ve seen it with my own eyes as a child.
I too know many Muslims who are wondeful people. But I also have seen with my own eyes and in the news the widespread mistreatment of Christians my Muslims.
It goes on in your own country. Copts there are treated horribly by Muslims. Yet you seem to have no compassion for what they are going through. You pretended it does not happen. Yet it does and I have no doubt that since you live in Egypt you know it happens.
