Who said I was a progressive?

As a “human being” and an individual “thinking” person who was made by God in His image. I do have discernment.
I also have “respect” enough for my “senior” Mass goers to attend the “family” Mass at 9AM “should” my children…“being children after all”…get antsy.
This shows a bit of…could it be called BIGOTRY!!

Why would you think “seniors” would be offended by young children at Mass. I’m a senior & I remember taking 4 children (all born within a 6 yr. span) to Mass
every Sunday & Holyday. Do you think that I have forgotten the effort it took. LOL, by the time I got the shoes on the youngest one, the oldest had pulled his shirtail out of his pants…the second had found the jelly jar left out from breakfast & had a “jelly smile” & the third was crying about something?? WHEN I was lucky, by husband had finished the chores & helped. Oh…& you are quite fortunate to have a children’s Mass. In our small rural parish, we had an 8am & a 10am.
I have attended a Charismatic Mass and I have attended a Pentacostal service. (I dated a Pentacostal boy in high school). Not my cup of tea. **I was born in 58, so yes, I have been to a TLM. **
As for birth control…take a look around the pews on Sunday. You won’t find many Dugger Families there. Gee, I wonder why? Again, Caesars law not God’s.
Ceasar’s Law? There you go again. This suggests that you think that Catholics who use natural means of birth control are trying to change the Laws of the land? That we want to make artificial birth control illegal?
You are right. You’ll find few at the Novus Ordo Masses that have more than the “obligatory” 1 girl & 1 boy. The only thing I question about these small families is
1.How much do the children learn about dealing with people, about sharing, about working & being an important part of a team.
- Do people limit the number of children they have so that they can buy a new home, car, a third TV? It’s a question of value that concerns me. What is MOST valuable to these people?
And…Oh yeah, & there is more than one way to regulate the birth of children. It’s called <shh, looking left, looking right shh, now> abstinance. Yep, for about 4 days out of each month…abstinence.
