What is appropriate clothing to wear at Mass if you're a female?

I saw a lot of denim at the last couple of funerals I went to. The person’s presence was more important than what they wore.
 
Heh. I just replied to Oneofthewomen about wearing jeans to a funeral. Would I? Yes. I have not gone to funerals or Mass on feast days because I might have been dressed in jeans. I bailed out of going to a TLM because I didn’t think I had anything dressy enough to wear. No more. I’ll try to wear something “perfect” but I’ve missed out because I was worried about what others would think. Not going to miss out because you don’t think it’s correct.
 
Some people do. You’d be surprised. Would I? No, and I’d stress over what to wear because I didn’t have the right thing.
 
There is nothing wrong – if the husband is a stay at home father – and the wife goes out to work. There is nothing wrong – when both husband and wife work.
 
Nothing wrong with? Sure. Nothing wrong with it. It is one option among many…and certainly shouldn’t be held up as standard or more worthy.
 
The idea of the father staying at home while the mother works is perverted.

It’s really insightful to the workplace today. There are many start-up technology companies where, yes, wearing jeans to an interview would be totally appropriate. Granted, those are a minority, but it’s not unheard of.
 
Gender roles are real. Let’s not cave in to the false beliefs of secularists and feminists.

Men work, women help. That’s how it goes, that’s biblical, that’s church doctrine.
 
There is such thing as dressing inappropriately to church. No visible panties or boxers, no navel, nothing dirty, nothing too tight, too short, high slits or see through. 99% of the time I don’t notice or care what another person’s clothing, I still think certain things are no no. Let’s pray that people practice modesty or show some form of decency at church. A line must be drawn somewhere.

I would point out that for many of us, getting a job where you don’t work on Sunday isn’t really an option. I’m young and don’t have a huge set of marketable skills - most lower-end jobs require weekend work, and sometimes that means Sundays. I consider myself fortunate to have a job that allows me time off to attend Mass and get there reliably at all, many in these types of jobs don’t even get that.
 
If you have to choose between starving and going to Mass, go to Mass.
I for one, refuse to work on Sunday. I trust God will provide for the slight deficiency in my pay.
