Heinrich Heine in 1820 said, “Those who begin by burning books, will end by burning people.”

That being said, I would burn the Turner Diaries. The Turner Diaries, written by former American Nazi Party honcho William L. Pierce, under the pen name Andrew Macdonald, is a racist book on how white men blew up the FBI, overthrew the government (Zionist Occupation Government) and started white men’s rule in the US. Tim McVeigh studied the Turner Diaries. He said it inspired him to blow up the Murrah bldg in Oklahoma city. I think about 160 died in that terrorist massacre.

I’m also surprised no one mentioned the “Protocols of the (Learned) Elders of Zion” Hitler’s favorite book. Perhaps inspired more bloodshed than any other book in history.

See, there are far worse things in print than books about homosexuals. But that depends on what you think is “decent.”

I would gladly ban any book which was misleading about religions and all matters relating to them, if it was possible for the author or authors to have avoided being misleading. And I would also destroy all pious books which tell falsehoods instead of what is not untrue. I would also ban all books which defame and misrepresent political beliefs rather than stating them truthfully and fairly.

If people want to tell lies about the beliefs of others, they should be impeded from so doing. Disagreeing with beliefs they do not hold, and stating them fairly, is an entirely different matter. ##

I always thought book burning/banning was terrible but now I have a dilemma. A few years back, when my husband and I were away from the church, we boutht and read a lot on the occult. Now I don’t know what to do with the books. I also have a book on a perfectly harmless subject that contains quite of bit on incorrect info - I don’t want the book and don’t want to spread the misinformation.

What do you guys think???
Hey Koda,

Don’t burn those books shred and recycle them. At least the paper will be put to better use.
