What is the difference between Roman Catholic and Byzantine Catholic?

Canon 1248 is very clear and simple, you must attend a Catholic rite. That would exclude Orthodox, but include and Eastern Catholic Church.
 
Could you point me to a good overview of the Byzantine liturgy, without having to go through a whole missal?
not offhand.

I’d suggest just going and experiencing it (in a language you understand!)

The current suggestion at our parish for a first time visitor is to not even take a book, and just observe.
 
“Catholic” Itslef mean universal so no,the Catholic Church,in order to be Catholic,must ecompass all rites
