Hello.

Could you clarify what you mean by “inspiration?” This is such a broad question and can be answered well in so many ways I don’t know how to answer it.

For starters, joy, love, salvation, wisdom, kindness, truth, beauty, my true Father & Mother, … where do I start to answer your question?

Thank you for your post and Merry Christmas.

What is the main inspiration of your religion denomination?
I am very interested that this question has been answered by Catholics at a ratio of 6:1. Is the CC now considering itself to be a denomination? 😉

I have been emphatically told that Catholicism is not a denomination. My first reaction was that this is meant for Protestants. Not that I mind or anything…I just find it a bit interesting.

Pretty much, but technically.

In common language people say denomination to refer to one’s religion in a specific manner.

I find it interesting when some are corrected for not addressing the topic at hand and then again corrected at addressing the topic while disregarding something off topic. :man_shrugging:t3:

Pease!!!

Such is CAF.
Pick apart each other’s question and answers.

My answer?
Summed up in the Nicene Creed.

But, your sect began only about a century ago, whereas the Catholic Church was started by Jesus Christ nearly 2,000 years ago.

Yes, I know the Pentecostal movement emerged as a distinct expression of Christianity a hundred years ago. That isn’t a problem for me since I do not view Pentecostalism as a religion unto itself but as one development in a continuous evangelical tradition that had its roots in Wesleyanism and ultimately through the Church of England traces back to the early church.

What specifically inspired the founders of your particular Pentecostal denomination to go off on their own? There’s always a story.

That I can and DO know that GOD, my God is REALLY; Truly & Substantially present in our Catholic Churches and in our Holy Communion:hugs:

My church is Pentecostal in doctrine, but we’re not affiliated with any denomination. I guess you can say we’re independent Pentecostal.
