Could you clarify what you mean by “inspiration?” This is such a broad question and can be answered well in so many ways I don’t know how to answer it.

I have been emphatically told that Catholicism is not a denomination. My first reaction was that this is meant for Protestants. Not that I mind or anything…I just find it a bit interesting.Wannano:

Yes, I know the Pentecostal movement emerged as a distinct expression of Christianity a hundred years ago. That isn’t a problem for me since I do not view Pentecostalism as a religion unto itself but as one development in a continuous evangelical tradition that had its roots in Wesleyanism and ultimately through the Church of England traces back to the early church.
