Whatever y’all say. I’m in the minority here. The future will tell.
This is your best response? Sheesh!

So if we fail to collapse into abject submission to the errors of the reformation and their step children then you cannot discuss with us?

Make your case if you have one…
Pax tecum,

Whatever you want, or are told, to believe. I can’t share those beliefs.

Uh huh - St Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai, was ROMAN CATHOLIC for some 600-odd years after the Codex Sinaiticus was written. The Orthodox had not yet parted ways with the Latin (Roman) Catholics - all were one under the headship of the Popes until that time. All were in essence Roman Catholic - it didn’t even become necessary to use the distinguishing term ‘Roman’ until after the schism between Catholics and Orthodox in the 1000s AD.

So it can’t be claimed the Roman Catholic Church was never in possession of the Codex Sinaiticus. And the site you link to is untrustworthy.

Pax tecum,
Ach, mon, ye stir the Scot reformer within me! Why do I get dragged into these arguments?

We fear that in going to the loving arms of Mary ye abandon the cause of Christ, putting your salvation in trust in her rather than Him, and that Catholics amply demonstrate that that fear is justified, more in practice than in teaching.

We fear that ye lose Christ in a forest of other things, notably Mary, and that hyperdoulia is but a pretext for idolatry, as it is sometimes hard again to differentiate the practice from the teaching, especially in the face of false teaching that is so prevalent within the Catholic Church, and even worse, syncretistic practices, even reported on CAF threads, wherein Marian worship is corrected by knowledgeable Catholics. The Protestant asks himself if it is sometimes corrected, what about where it is not? Though you strike down one of these idolatrous saplings, we fear the forest is not yet cleared.

We see kekharitmone and note all your arguments, compelling to a point, and what ye do with Revelation 12, and the rest, but we simply do not find them convinving, we Protestants, because the kit does not conform to the great cry of the Reformation, that salvation is through Christ alone, and ye have insisted it is through Mary first, and then through Christ, and that we cannot live with.

We acknowledge Mary is the Mother of God, we do, but we fear ye turn her into God the Mother. We see her as a godly woman; ye seem to turn her into the Mother God. No Catholic, you respond, believes she is divine, and then we find her to be called All-holy, Mother of mercies, who can hear every prayer directed to her, our joy, our clemency, our sweetness, and our light, and so in the austerity of our faith we maintain that God alone is all-holy, Father of mercies, who hears and acts on our prayers, our joy, our clemency, our sweetness, that Jesus is our Light.

So the Catholics argue that we have no room for her in the inn of our hearts, we anti-Marians, and shut the Mother of God out, and it seems that that is good to us. We are trying to be faithful to our God, and hold fast to what He has told us in His Word, only to be told we are mean to His mother, mean to our Mother, etc.

Ye have probably read some of my posts about Mary, and know that my Presbyterianism is a wild thing, as wild as the north wind on the North sea, and that whom God chooses to honor we should honor, and that even from the Bible alone Mary should have more honor, in my view, than Protestants typically grant her, and God has the right to do things without having put it in the Bible, even though it may be obliquely referred to, and if He wanted to make her Queen of Heaven, because He rewards people for their lives on earth, and hers was exemplary, so that her reward must be also, that is fine with me. I ain’t gonna argue with the Boss.

Mary, as I have said, is a whole lot easier to deal with doctrinally if you ever happen to meet her. She is the kind of person who, if God made her your mother and queen of the universe and all the other stuff the Catholics in their enthusiasm load her with, ye really ought to just stand up and cheer about. Not fear.

The real question here becomes —

Who has figured all this out correctly?

I will think about it and ask Mary for some help with this one.

She told me its due to a lack of a central authority and reminded me that Isalm has the same problem. She is working on that one too.😉

Well we have offered over 100 reasons to agree with all the anti christs. I mean excuse me the anti catholics. But really soon or later we have to take a look at the opposition. For instance:

Catholics: God is the First Cause of all things.
Mormons: God had a father actually many fathers. Before God existed there were intelligences.

Catholics:God was always God but for our sake became man
Mormons: God was a man first who for his own sake became God.

A little too oppositional for my taste.

But the root cause? Really. What do they all have in common after all? A distaste, or disrespect, or disregard for the Holy Mother of God in one form or another.

I think it was said that to deny even one aspect of CHRIST is to deny him in entirety.

And this root you mention is the root of all chaos.
