It’s a really bad picture but I have a tradition of posting really bad pictures
No, your pictures look like Ansel Adams compared to mine 😉! I’m always impressed. keep on posting!

So lovely watching her 🙂 I can’t help feeling like putting a warm blanket over her though…it looks chilly!
I’m going to have to see if I can view her in your daylight. Thanks !🙂

Really, they’re terrible…

The male Osprey has finally come to the nest to be with his family. I think one of the three eggs has hatched.

I keep meaning to do this… here’s the Aviary we have at work. Happy birdies.

I never claimed to be a good photographer.

What would you say is the most active time of day for them? I’ll see if I can be awake to view then .

I just check on them on and off throughout the day.

You might want to take a look before you go to sleep.

If I have the time figured right, it will be morning here, and it should be light enough there in Georgia where the nest is located.

I’m in the Central Time Zone, and they’re in the Eastern Time Zone in Georgia, so they’re one hour ahead of me. 🙂

I encountered my first and only European Robin at Lourdes. Since we don’t mind bad photos here, here’s a bad photo of it. In retrospect.I probably should have laid off the digital zoom.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
An English friend from another forum tells me that in local lore, whenever one of these birds cross your path, it’s a loved one from Heaven coming to say ‘hello’. They remind him of his mum. Here’s a picture he took. I’m going to paint it someday. (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

The wild turkeys are strutting. It must be their mating season. I don’t have a good picture. The females slowly promenade around neighborhoods and woods, not appearing very interested in the males but keeping them within sight. The males follow nonchalantly at a distance and occasionally fluff up their body feathers and tail plumage. In these rituals, they behave a lot like some humans!

Black Turnstone from Tillamook Bay last December. See it’s funny shaped bill? It turns stones with it.(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

I wonder what kind of thoughts that bird has. He looks fairly intelligent.

Probably wondering and waiting to see if Tad can turn stones with that camera.

The bird is kind of a fatty. Is that a sign of virtue as a hunter or just being a piggy? Maybe they all look like that. Still, trimming an ounce here and there might not be a bad thing.

I think the turnstone was posing for me.😃 I think we share similar wants and thoughts. I took it’s photo at a seafood factory/restaurant/market.

Here’s some Surfbirds, also on the Oregon coast. They’re looking for seafood too.
