I think they’re open but I’m not sure.

They are an active church but there are two levels to their building and I know they have meetings and stuff, (like when I was in CR) upstairs so I don’t know if they allow people in the church when not in worship or not.

I just read about him, he sounded like a great person who chose to respond to the holy Spirit and become Catholic. Still, I doubt the holy Spirit would lead any one to start their own church before leading them to become Catholic. Who knows. I’ve been wrong before. That one time.

The Attorney General of California has opened yet another probe into priestly abuse after the Diocese of San Jose released a list of confirmed abuser priests as did San Diego. And then a law firm released a list of 215 credibly accused priests in the SF Bay Area. Why was this so prevailent?

Another reason I’m considering attending another church. Every time the abuse scandal starts to die down, more news comes out and the scandal just gets seems to get worse.

Yeah, I know people have said that the number of abuse cases in the Catholic Church aren’t any higher than other churches, organizations etc., but I’m not so sure about that.

God’s ways are not our ways. Perhaps leading someone to start their own church before they become Catholic allows them to bring gifts into the Church they didn’t have when they began their spiritual journey. Converts are a powerful witness to the Catholic faith.

God meets us where we are and over time if we are willing, leads us to the right path.

Faith is a journey or as Paul, would say an endurance race.

Well, I went to that church yesterday,; they also have Saturday late afternoon/evening services.
I hesitate to say it here, but I loved it. It was contemporary, upbeat, lively, Spirit and Bible filled and the pastor was talking about what I needed to hear most - fear and anxiety.

They have weekly communion with not an entire communion host but pieces of the host and everybody takes a piece. They also had either wine or grape juice in tiny individual cups. I didn’t participate in the communion service, and I made it clear that I was a visitor only and not ready to convert, though it sure is tempting.
 
Based on what Bibles they use, what they believe about communion (mere symbol or the actually body and blood of Christ) and what do they believe about others that do not believe as they do. Can they answer the question :What do you believe in?" Do they mandate a tithe (british for 10%) of your income?

As far as communion goes, they don’t pretend to have the ability to transubstantiate the hosts.
About the tithing, I’m sot sure. They have boxes set up around the place where you can give an offering, or you can give online like in the Catholic Church.

When I first walked in they had a huge lobby with tables or booths set up where people can ask questions or whatever. They also had a table or booth set up where they gave each visitor a free T-shirt.

There’s also a coffee area with maybe other drinks and snacks. I didn’t buy anything.

Yup. It’s the Eucharist.
Unfortunately Baptists. and evangelicals don’t do infant baptism. Baptism means nothing for then than just a public statement of belief.

I am praying for you with a spirit of love. Jesus’s body blood soul and divinity dwell nowhere else except for the Catholic Churchm

As someone whose parents started their own church, I guess God can make something good out of something not good. Who knows how many people decided to become Catholic as a result of visiting their church?
 
I have medicated since teen years. He lead me to Celebrate Recovery and His grace through those people is healing me. As comfortable as this is I am realizing that my Catholic faith is my true family. Take a close look at this church but remember that it has adopted just part of the faith and full power and glory of the family of Catholicism. May He bless and heal you!
