What movies did you think were overrated?

What movies do you think we were seriously overrated? You don’t have to hate the movie, you just have to think it wasn’t as good as everyone else made it out to be. Here is my list so far. I’m sure I’ll think of more.
The Hunger Games series These are ones that I don’t actually hate. I enjoyed the first one, thought the second one was ok, and haven’t seen the new one yet. But I’m definitely not as in to them as many people seem to be. Dystopian movies are really not my thing.
Frozen I hated this movie. So stupid and lame. And that stupid song “Let it Go”? It only made the movie worse. Why does everyone seem to like it? I feel like everyone around me has been brainwashed. Seriously what is the appeal of this movie?!
Titanic Didn’t exactly hate this movie but I thought it was way longer than it had to be.
The Exorcist Oh my gosh, don’t even get me started on this movie. It was so long and boring and cheesy! Why do people like it so much?
The Harry Potter series Didn’t hate these movies, but I found them boring and pointless.
The Silence of the Lambs Another boring movie that was made worse by the lead actress, Jodie Foster. Yuck.
 
I agree with you on the Hunger Games and Frozen.

Another movie that left me cold is Finding Nemo.

I don’t like Disney movies in general.
 
I agree with you on Titanic. It’s probably the most overrated movie I’ve seen. Seriously, as far as special effects go it was great but the characters were so one dimensional and and the love story was so boring. And that song. Don’t get me started on that song.

Why it was in the theaters for an entire year is beyond me. It wasn’t a bad movie but I was expecting something more with all the hype.

For my own pick, I think I have to say the Hobbit series. A lot of people I know absolutely loved them. I just never did.
 
Terms of Endearment. What a load of hooey. To think that people pay money to be that miserable at the movies.
 
Silver Linings Playbook

I watched it because it won so many awards. I totally did not see what the big deal was about. I found the ending totally implausible and frankly weird.
 
The Dark Knight.

This was nothing but a second rate crime drama whose success was increased by the tragic death of Heath Ledge. Definitely not and Oscar worthy performance.

Star Wars Prequels…shouldn’t have been made ruined it.

I totally agreee on Silence of the Lambs…I couldn’t believe the senario that traumatized her as a kid it was too absurd plus I hate movies and stories to do with canabalism…nasty and not worth the time.
 
Most are over rated but i really thought Forrest Gump was horrible and i really like Tom Hanks.

I used to like Hanks until that horrible DeVinci Code movie. Now I can’t even look at him without getting mad. I’ll never pay money again for his movies.

As I understand it, he is very anti-Catholic. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
 
I hope I don’t offend anyone by the title I am going to post.

Cannibal Holocaust. Between the ages of 12-21 I was a major horror geek and I was urged to see Cannibal Holocaust by other horror fans. I found it to be the most overrated pile of …junk I had ever seen, nothing but cheap acting and animal snuff (that part disgusted me to point of vomiting, something I have never done over a film)

Tom Hanks is Catholic. Greek Orthodox, I believe.

Speaking of Tom Hanks…Castaway. Wow. Just awful. Tedious, and an awful ending.
The movies that he did that I love are The Green Mile and The Money Pit.
