BUT you ALSO make me type this response TWICE! The nerveā€¦

šŸ˜›

Oh, yeah and I play guitar.

John

Hey, I goofed up and didnā€™t allow for multiple choicesā€¦

I play guitar and pianoā€¦

I play the cello, and the violin (a little).
I havenā€™t played much in the last couple years because my teacher became very ill, and my other ā€˜partnerā€™ - married and moved away.
I like to play at church - but the orchastra doesnā€™t like to practice so I donā€™t go anymore. I HAVE to practice.
I also can play the piano some - never had much experience, but I can pick it up really fast. I am fascinated with piano.
Hereā€™s to catholic musician!!! šŸ‘ :clapping:

Iā€™m a church organist and a piano teacher. This means that I can keep some of my ā€œchopsā€ while raising our kids. šŸ˜‰

very coolā€¦ I only play by ear, canā€™t read music.

My main instrument(s) is the Saxophone. I play all four, but am best at the Alto.

I can also play Guitar, Piano and Drums.

Music is a major hobby of mine. I have played in symphonic orchestras for over 30 years, and in one chamber group or another for over 15 years. I began as a violin player at age 9, took up viola at 26, and took up 'cello at 48.
Beethoven is easily my favorite composerā€“I am now playing cello in an orchestra where we will be doing his 7th symphony. That one is a particular favorite since I got my start in classical music appreciation by listening to that one over and over.
I play piano off and onā€“off lately. I decided that before I died, I was going to learn to play a complete Beethoven piano sonata (not the first movement of the moonlight, which has a killer last movement, and not the two ā€œleichte-sonatasā€ (easy sonatas). I learned Op. 90ā€“and then went on to the ā€œTempestā€, and Op. 10. No. 2. But they are pretty well corroded by now.
But I do more. I play Irish jigs and I have improvised harmonies in bluegrass groups.
Last but not least, I attend the Spanish language Sunday Mass in our parish and play fiddle in the Spanish choir. I learned the language some years ago and am trying to improve my fluency in it. What better place than there?

I can play my grandaughterā€™s keyboardā€¦ does this count? oh and I can whistle too:whistle:

I have a plaque that expresses my feelings about music entirely:

"Bach gave us Godā€™s Word
"Mozart gave us Godā€™s Laughter
"Beethoven gave us Godā€™s Fire

ā€œGod gave us music so that we could pray without wordsā€

I play the piano and the guitar a littleā€¦and singā€¦but right now at the moment Iā€™m teaching myself to play the Irish Tin Whistle (also known as the Penny whistle) Noā€¦its not like playing a recorder and is not as easy as you might think. šŸ˜› Its rather difficult especially if you havenā€™t played any brass or woodwind instruments before.

Iā€™m 20 and Iā€™ve played the drums for about 9 years. I always though I was gonna go somewhere with it. Iā€™d keep playing in bands and playing some shows around California then breaking up and starting new bands with the same people. Then the last band Iā€™ve been in was one that couldā€™ve gone somewhere in the metal scene with some work, but I quit. One member wanted to sing a Pro-abortion song, and it was very low-brow. So I decided that being right with God was more important than pleasing fans and writing stupid songs. Now I still am looking for new people to make positive rock music with. But for now Iā€™ve been a lonely musician watching some friendsā€™ groups playing on the other side of the country. Ugh. Iā€™m excellent too.

Timidity:
I play around with a bowed psaltery. Does that count?
I had one of those once! I used to sing with an early music group, and played percussion and psaltery. It was fun!

And to answer the poll:

SINGERS ARE MUSICIANS, TOO!!!

Betsy

I singā€¦thatā€™s my dream, to just be able to sing.

I also play piano (since 9), play flute, clarinet and trumpet (the best of the 3), bass guitar pretty well, a little bit of guitar (i know a few chords).

I own a keyboard, bass and trumpet.

My next instrumentā€¦violin or cello (wouldā€™ve learned these instead of paino but lessons were too far away.

My fiance plays guitar and bass guitar. He also played baritone in highschool.

He owns an acoustic and an american fender strat.

Heā€™s gonna learn the drums next.

We are also saving to buy some recording equipment. Once we get a house, weā€™ll have a room devoted to music!!!

Itā€™ll be one musical family!!!

Iā€™ve played guitar at mass for the last 30 years. Loving every minute of it.

I also create musical accompaniment on my pc using violins, flutes, pianos, etc to add to my accompaniment (ducking the pies in the face for the use of the dreaded ā€˜pre recorded musicā€™)

And, contrary to popular opinion, ā€œpre-recorded music when combined with live musicians and/or voices becomes an integral part of the performance and is, therefore a legitimate use of recorded music.ā€*
