piano for almost 10 years (since 1st grade) I slacked off for a little bit in middle school, but have found it soooo relaxing and picked it back up in high school. I also played flute for a short period of time, but it never stuck.

I also play the imaginary guitar…sometimes I play it with my tennis racket…I’m actually in an imaginary band where I play the imaginary tamberine…good, quality times…

I played the trumpet about two years before I learned to play the piano. It made it really easy, so easy, in fact, that I skipped my first piano year. Music is a really big part of my life, however I really wish I could learn to play better.

I played the Clarinet in Junior High, the Bassoon and Saxophone in High School, and the Bassoon for a few semesters in college as well. I played the Oboe, Flute, French Horn, and Baritone on the side at various times during junior high and high school. I started piano last fall. My major instrument in college is voice. I’m a jack-of-all-trades.

I love that quote! I should get a poster with that on it. I know there is a woven throw with the quote in one of my music catalogs.

My main instrument is oboe; started in the 8th grade in 1968! Had an 11 yr layoff whilst raising 3 boys. Boy, was it hard to get back into it, but now I have a new instrument, and it’s great. Still hate the darn reeds, though. I play in 2 orchestras and one band and other groups as needed.

I’m also accompanist for our church and have been thinking about organ lessons, but the practice time would get tough to fit in. I teach out of my home; piano, oboe, flute, clarinet and saxophone. I used to teach guitar, too; folk and classical. Only beginning classical, though, since I’m self taught there.

I have a plaque that expresses my feelings about music entirely:

"Bach gave us God’s Word
"Mozart gave us God’s Laughter
"Beethoven gave us God’s Fire

“God gave us music so that we could pray without words”
Peace,
Mimi

I play Piano, though I’m not too good at it. I use it mostly to relax, and I really love the sound of it.

I do guitar (basics) violin and vocals. I’m frustrated with vocals as I got an unusually deep voice limiting stuff I can and can’t do.

I am a bonefied floutist if I do say myself. I can play piano, with practice. Guitaaar I can handle it, but I’m far from being considered even decent.

I sing. Sing, sing, sing!

Karaoke singing…choir singing…singing in the shower…sang in bands…background singer…commercial singer (long time ago)…

…I just love to sing!

oh, I also play keyboards, guitar, and electric bass guitar.

sing, sing, sing…

I play the trumpet… Started about 8-9 years ago at my School in an after-school music program… Did that from 4th to 8th Grade… I took band in 9th Grade and am taking it now in 12th…
Played more so Pep Band music for the most part as that’s what we practice…
Though I’ve gotten into more gospel music as I keep an old Worship book next to my sheet music and go through it when I practice.
Got a new Trumpet this year… Yamaha… It’s awesome… Now I keep my old trumpet on a stand next to my desk so I can grab it and practice it whenever

my favorite instrument is playing piccolo in MARCHING BAND!!!

and playing in UK’s basketball pep band isn’t bad either 😉

Thank you Lord for creating music!!!

I played drums as a kid and into my twenties (rock n roll!)

I learned to play guitar chords as a teen because I wanted my best friend to play guitar to my drums…but she never really picked it up.

Years later I started listening to bluegrass and started learning to flat pick!

It is very challenging, but I play in a band w/my husband who plays stand up Bass.We play bluegrass and gospel bluegrass. I play a little mandolin too and I would like to get a banjo. My favorite guitar is a Martin D-18 Golden era, whic I am very blessed to own.

My main instrument is the piano, followed very close the drums and hand percussion(ethnic percussion)and finally, the guitar.Although I play drums in a band.:bounce:

I play trumpet. I’ve played since I was 9 years old. That was 26 years ago…
