I’m not looking for a fight but I would like to comment on this statement briefly. God called Eve “Ezer Kenegdo” which means “sustainer beside him.” This title does not indicate that women are the “weaker” of the two sexes.

…and in Eve’s defense, she was dealing with an Angel and “tricked” into eating the forbidden fruit, Adam on the other hand…

In Actuality, Adam was WITH Eve in the Garden. As far as I know, he didn’t step up and fight to protect her from that slimy dragon. :nunchuk: Poor Eve gets scapegoated and even blamed by her husband. :dts:

You could even say that Adam was the first to sin through cowardliness. For all we know, Satan approaches Eve with his suggestions and Adam stands back and thinks, “I’ll let her go first and see what happens.”

So, there! What do you think of that! Maybe, that I’m a stinker, huh. 😃

p.s. I love you RCWitness! 😛

🍿

I will take the bait lol

It depends on what race Eve was. If she was an African-American from Georgia like my childhood babysitter…She was SO THE STRONGER OF THE TWO lol

Miss Betsy was the strongest willed woman I have ever met. Her preacher stated once that demons do not dare to come near her lol

Yup, Adam stepped back and let Eve talk to the scary serpent for him.

Passitaround!!!

Now that there is a good audience…

Spiritually, Eve was equal to Adam because she had the same human nature.

Theologically, it was impossible for Eve to commit the “original sin.”

You must have never met Miss Betsy lol

He get’s them both in one act by attacking eve. Because Adam was supposed to give her life for her (as Christ gave His life for His bride…on a tree). The devil gets all of humanity in this act because we are all one and by getting eve…everyone born is born of woman…he took out the portal of life!

He gets the entire physical world by them sining through touching the physical (the fruit she plucked).

The real sin they did was not trusting God. That God was hiding and keeping something from them…knowledge of good and evil. They chose to be God without God. They literally saw God as something to be…“grasped at”. It was always God’s plan to divinize us…He always wanted to share His own life with us.

The real question posed to the couple in the garden …including to us all all the time: IS GOD LOVE…or is He not

She is the “stronger” of the sex because she bears the resemblence more perfectly of what it means to be human in her own body: That we are called to be recievers of Gods love and bear life within us and bring it to fruition in this world.

🍿

I’ve noticed that you eat a lot of popcorn when it comes to these threads. :DQUOTE]

👍

I wouldn’t know about stronger/weaker, but it is said that in Genesis each thing God creates is is more impressive than the thing before - and Eve is last.

Maybe Eve volunteered to go talk to the serpent? ;)🙂
Rule of thumb: When you see me making the first response in a thread with 🍿, it means that I’m interested in the thread, but care not to respond to the OP myself, so I’m waiting for other responses to respond to.

Now you know my secret. 😉

And I love the symbolism of The Father bringing Eve to Adam…like a jewish dad of old times bringing their daughter to give her away to her future husband as if to say, “Adam…this is my most treasured possession…and you had better take care of her!”

At least Eve did not have to worry about Adam cheating on her since she was the only woman in the garden.

And Adam didn’t have to deal with nagging until Eve came along 😛:rotfl:

My wife and I compliment one another. Where I am weak she is strong and the same with her. I had a passed a stone once and thought the world was ending. Women are way more stronger when it comes to pain lol.

God is LOVE always.

You and I have equal opportunity to choose chocolate over organic fruit. 🙂
