Am I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?
I would rip it up.
Or burn it. Chick mocks the Eucharist in his pictures. So, feel free to destroy the tract.I would rip it up.
I generally find them in the stalls in public restrooms. I find them very useful.
Light a fire with it? Um, yes, they are just pictures, you get to toss it.Am I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?
Of course you are allowed to throw it away.Am I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?
That’s a good idea. You can use Jack Chick’s own tracts to teach and at the same time defend the Catholic faith. It that isn’t irony, I don’t know what is.I would read it all and find out why it is wrong. When I taught RCIA we examined “The Death Cookie” page by page, and refuted every bit of it. It is a good learning opportunity for adult Catholics.
ditto:thumbsup:I would rip it up.
Just throw it away, or recycle it. “Burning” or destroying it because of its content would be superstitious and callous toward the martyrs who died by fire.Am I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?
It would merely make sure no one else could possibly read it. A shredder, as someone suggested, would work just as well. None of the martyrs would object either way.Just throw it away, or recycle it. “Burning” or destroying it because of its content would be superstitious and callous toward the martyrs who died by fire.
Recycle them. Or shred them and put them in your compost. Or burn them.Am I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?

This is what I would do. I have any number of questionable books, etc. (like a New World bible translation) for research purposes. And internet links to the worst Jack Chick tract ever “Lisa”.That’s a good idea. You can use Jack Chick’s own tracts to teach and at the same time defend the Catholic faith. It that isn’t irony, I don’t know what is.
After it has served its purpose you can toss it into the recycling bin.
Here is a winning strategy for just this situationAm I allowed to throw it away, even though it has Scripture verses and pictures of the Eucharist and Pope?
