No I meant as in your dads affair with the woman.shes at work
I don;t think soNo I meant as in your dads affair with the woman.
I have to admit I do not really agree with this advice. The mistress has no relationship with Abelin and she has her own agenda. You should just confront Her and tell her to keep away your dad should sever all contact, if indeed necessary and as a last resort you should tell your mother of this, perhaps though you should speak to your priest first, and do not worry he will not tell everyone in your parish of this.
I am so glad that you contacted your aunt and that she is coming to help you.shes coming in about an hour
Yes that is a very good point you have, but say his dad never listened then what? this scandal just continues, i mentioned it as a last resort so to speak.I have to admit I do not really agree with this advice. The mistress has no relationship with Abelin and she has her own agenda.
And I also believe that everything that can be done to protect Abelin’s mother from this knowledge should be done, so threatening the mistress with disclosure to the mother not only would be threatening to do harm to Abelin’s mother, bit could easily backfire, as the mistress would say, go ahead and tell her–maybe then she will break up with her husband and he will marry me.
No, I think Abelin’s best bet is to discuss this with his dad, and then let the adults work it all out.
This is not the impression the OP gives. I also get the feeling he and his father are not that close, yet he seems more concerned about his fathers “love” for his mistress then his mothers feelings. It sounds as if his allegiance is with the one he’s least comfortable with. I can’t believe that a sixteen year old would pick up on an affair before his mother and unless mistresses are commonplace, why he hasn’t asked one of them how “things were going” before snooping in dad’s electronics and following him around after dark. He’s still a kid! When I told my husband that the reason a woman we knew was running me down to him was that she was trying to steal him away from me, he was astonished, and almost twice Abelin’s age. Some people are sort of naturally innocent.
Let’s try to take it easy on him.
I’m quite distant from them you’re rightThis is not the impression the OP gives. I spoke to my auntie and she says she already knows. Apparently because my aunt’s not a catholic she felt that it wasn’t her business to interveneabelin,
it is only a matter of time before your mother finds out about this,
and if and when she does things probably will not be good.
So this is why it is imperative you discuss this to Him now, before she does.
So what does she think of it then?I spoke to my auntie and she says she already knows
because my aunt’s not a catholic she felt that it wasn’t her business to interveneSo what does she think of it then?
So you are saying that, your aunt came over to your house, while your mother was at work, but your aunt has told you that your mum already knows, yet she does not want to intervenebecause my aunt’s not a catholic she felt that it wasn’t her business to intervene
no my aunt already knows not my momSo you are saying that, your aunt came over to your house, while your mother was at work, but your aunt has told you that your mum already knows, yet she does not want to intervene![]()
Ok so has she advised anything yet, you seem pretty nonchalant about the whole thing.no my aunt already knows not my mom
She advised me to speak to my dad when he comes home but she’ll be there with me for support. Do you think this’ll help?Ok so has she advised anything yet, you seem pretty nonchalant about the whole thing.
Yes that sounds like a good idea, also the fact that your Aunt will be there also, will probably make him more likely to listen. She advised me to speak to my dad when he comes home but she’ll be there with me for support. Do you think this’ll help?
Go to that extreme? Regarding the pregnancy if she is with his children. What happens?I had the read the whole thread to really understand what was going on. First of all, hide your evidence and make copies and put the copies somewhere else outside the house, preferably in the yard buried somewhere in a waterproof box.
Secondly, I agree bout not telling the mistress for it will only backfire. And she could be lying about the pregnancy being your dad’s child to get him to leave your mother.
Thirdly, your mother will find out sooner or later, so it is best to tell her now.
Fourth, don’t be afraid to talk to your parish priest. That is what they are there for.
