Absolutely!Only one Church existed and they were in communion in the beginning. Those that grew separate were in essence one holy catholic and apostolic church.

**Because, if they don’t - they have to come to the realization that the Catholic Church is the Church established by Christ. **That’s what I don’t understand. How can a person just ignore the Churches growth over time. And how can people just “travel” back in time and say that Christ didn’t even form the Church but instead he gave us the bible. Or that all those teachings before the bible are eliminated because the bible came out?
Personally I believe that there have been so many gigantic sinners nested in the Catholic Church throughout history that people, including Catholics try to reconcile this fact with what they think should be true - that the Church should look perfect somehow. I learned this the hard way after breaking ranks and playing on the other team for 18 years. They scared me into conversion and my wife was such a good woman from a good family. I had to many run ins with bad priests, deacons and seminarians that the clergy’s hiding behind 'holiness" just didn’t work for me anymore…especially after a couple of priests tried to do things to me that caused me to question my own sexuality even though I never led anyone on. They saw me as vulnerable - thus a good target.**Because, if they *don’t *- they have to come to the realization that the Catholic Church is the Church established by Christ.
And for some - this is unthinkable. Doing historical backflips and Scriptural acrobatics is more acceptable dfor some than to admit they are wrong.

Be careful how you judge people. Sure, there is objective truth, but culpability may be smothered in the sins of many others in their life that refuse to help; or did horrible things to them. I know this from first had experience. My vocation was ripped out from under me because of bad priests and in my opinion a bad vocation director and a bad bishop that in my opinion is responsible for hiding the jerk that tried to do what he did to me. Fortunately for me the Church is always waiting for her children with open arms. I thought I’d have to wear a hair shirt or something like that. Thank God I’m back home and my anti-Catholic wife is now a wonderful faithful Catholic who finally gets what I was trying to teach her all those years.
Thats the best way,if you can. God BlessElvis, I don’t want us to derail this thread by making it about you and me any longer so I won’t be discussing your terms any longer here. I would only suggest you look at 18 chapters later as examples of what He wants us to do. So He knows us when we say Lord, Lord. God bless you Elvis and peace.
Correction:The only church with direct and unbroken apostolic authority, which did not break from any other church, is the roman catholic church. And its also the oldest, and firstm church. It was founded by jesus through Peter in 33 AD. All other churches broke from this church, or from a church that had broken from another church.
