And unrelated, is “South Pacific” a drama, play or what?? Probably pretty good. May be more of a love story.

Can’t forget “From here to eternity” either, I think it is called.

There are a number of movies that are probably forgotten about all together.

“Bridge over the River Kwai” is another good one.

I did mention Bridge Over the River Kwai early on. I think that was an Oscar winner too.

My favorite is the HBO series Band of Brothers. Warning: there is lots of language and one nude scene, but the leadership lessons of Captain Richard Winters is invaluable. This does not apply to the series on the Pacific war front.
