I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
and twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
in such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
what wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

The years-long drought is thankfully over here in SoCal for the time being, but succulents remain popular in gardens near me. Two flowering succulents, one yellow and one purple.

That’s great, thank God 🙂
Some time back after drought here some people in the city replaced lawn with pebbles and synthetic grass,no plants 😬
Since that we’ve had enough rain ,no water restrictions and the city nearby looks quite green and fresh.The public gardens always look like a lovely little oasis in Summer .

Tulips from Amsterdam with musical accompaniment

I’m tempted to post a picture of tulips, with musical accompaniment “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” by Tiny Tim, but I shall restrain myself 😁

Here’s those Mock Orange flowers again, only this time with Painted Lady Butterflies. The Painted Ladies, similar in color to the larger Monarch, are migrating north from Mexico and have descended on Los Angeles by the thousands!

Signs of Spring. Some kind of daisy along the walking path near my home, maybe Black-eyed Susans?
