I am fascinated by the flowers I am coming across on this thread . Their multitude , delicacy , beauty are wondrous .

Taking one of them and asking 1000 of the greatest brains in the world to duplicate it would be to give them an impossible task .

These beauties say so much about their most ultimate and proximate Source .

This reminds me of what Jesus said about the flowers of the field.

Even the most legendary of kings, Solomon, arrayed in all his finery, could not compete with their beauty.

A few verses related to flowers .

See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. (Matthew 6)

I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of Lebanon he will send down his roots (Hosea 14)

My beloved is mine and I am his; he browses among the lilies. (Song of Solomon 2)

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus,it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy (Isaiah 35)

For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations. (Isaiah 61)

I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women.Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. (Song of Solomon 2)

Blessings of grain and flowers, Blessings of ancient mountains, Delightful things from everlasting hills. May these blessings rest on the head of Joseph, On the brow of the one set apart from his brothers. (Genesis 49)
