I love their scent.

I remember my mother giving me some freesia scented shampoo when I was about 9 and ever since then I’ve had a sentimental (or is it scentimental 🙃) connection to this flower and its scent.

I think this is some type of lilac. This one’s growing in the middle of a patch of ice plant along the roadside.

They are such a great plant ! My parents garden is bone dry (no water or rain for a couple of months) yet the Bougainvillea is flowering again ,bright and cheerful.
 
I have read that there are 25,000 - 30,000 different species of orchid .

That is marvellous .

Just to have one with all its beauty would be enough for me .

This is just one of the bounteous species , the Cattleya trianae .
