I have these growing along an old chain link fence. I also planted some moonflowers along with them.
The morning glories bloom in the morning and the moonflowers bloom at sunset. Their aroma is pleasant, but are poisonous to people and pets.

Ice plant is a much nicer name than pig face …the common name for that plant I was used to hearing

I think “ice plants” come within the mesembryanthemum family .

The mesembryanthemums I know and love are the Livingstone daisies . I first took note of them when in Cornwall on holiday . The gardens there were full of them , and I was fascinated how the flowers closed up at night and opened at day time . Plus their colours are beautiful .

They are the toughest little flower once they get going! A friend had them once ,popping up on the gravel path ,between bricks .

Today I picked a big bowl of Hawthorn berries…not sure what I’ll do with them,but there are jelly recipes.Lovely flowers,now changing leaves and berries.

Yes, hardy groundcover succulents also known as Delosperma. They can create a carpet of lavender.
