When is the most recent time you spoke with Jehovah Witnesses?

Been a few months now. I kinda miss them. They do not like being called Protestant - that I know. But, they hold to several distinctly Protestant foundational doctrines. Bible alone. 66 book bible. Essentially faith alone.

But, their corporation in Brooklyn, N.Y. has never made a single prophecy that has come to pass. In fact, 100% of JW prophesies have been false. “Stay alive until '75” was the biggie when the world was supposed to end in the disco age.

While there is some indication that the disco age was indeed the end of civilization, it certain was not the end of the world. Neither was 1914. Neither did Moses and Elijah appear and need to be driven around in a new V12 Cadillac and housed at Beth Sarim mansion.

The more I engage them, the less time they have to mislead others. And, they are marking time, as Brooklyn demands that they submit their time sheets.

Just this past week two elderly men rang my doorbell.I was still n my pj’s They said they would co e back and I asked what they were about.When they mentioned the purpose of their visit,I just said Thank you but Imam a Catholic.They seemed a bit flummoxed by my response but then said, well that’s ok

I’m sure it wouldn’t be the first lecture they heard on that.

I guess that’s the one thing which is really interesting about the JW religion. You never know what the people are going to bring up. A neighbor of mine had a loud enough discussion with a couple of Jehovah Witnesses about why they don’t permit Gay Marriage. Others are scattering the ball all over the diamond with one area of disagreement of another with them.

Do you have a crucifix on your door or other sign that they might have expected this objection?
