But somehow nobody wants to be part of Russia. Unless Russia invites them, with some “gentle” persuasion.

Haha, so Russia is the big bad boogeyman? USA wants to invade and wreck Venezuela and Syria and it has already wrecked: Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. USA constantly gets involved in other countries’ business and militarily intervenes. Mostly with Special Force and Air Force. If you want to see aggression, look to that. Russia’s foreign operations are confined to things that actually directly affect Russia and is in our best interest. Like Syria. Assad is a secular ruler, like Saddam Hussein. He doesn’t persecute Christians. So why should we support terrorists and overthrow him? This is why Russia helps Assad, while America and allies oppose him. Russia is not the one with military bases around the world. America has bases and missiles right on the border and constantly threatens Russia.

Austria wanted to be a part of Germany and voted to join, yet it was portrayed as German aggression.
In English, that “wants” translates to “looks at massed tanks pointed their way” . . .
Watch Vesti News and Russia Insight on Youtube. You will see the truth about Russia. Don’t believe the Fake News on American TV.
Gosh, couldn’t I just subscribe to Pravda?

Today improved by the internet app, which makes it far easier to rectify, making memory holes unnecessary for goodthink . . .

Brother dochawk, you are Easterner too, yes? We are supposed to be brothers, not enemies. Where does your intense dislike come from? The American Pravda (CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, ABC, CBS, and everything else)? Russia is trying to preserve itself from the West. America and the West are spreading their errors to the rest of the world and Russia prays for their conversion.

Conversion to this" As of 2013, the average life expectancy in Russia was 65.1 years for males and 76.5 years for females. The average Russian life expectancy of 71.6 years at birth is nearly 5 years shorter than the overall average figure for the European Union, or the United States.

Is a Christian afraid of death? Store your treasures in Heaven, not on Earth. Russia is spiritually richer than the decadent, degenerate West. Russia forbids homosexual propaganda, allows and encourages homeschooling, encourages families to have children with numerous incentives, does not prosecute people for not making homosexual wedding cakes or “misgendering” people, looks out for Russia and not the interests of globalists, rebuilds churches and monasteries, According to art.148 of Russian Criminal Code 1 it is declared a federal crime to conduct “public actions clearly defying the society and committed with the express purpose of insulting religious beliefs”. Part 2 of the same article establishes stricter punishments for the aforementioned actions when coupled with desecration of holy symbols and (or) religious texts.

Where do you see these laws and policies in America and the West?

In America, they put up billboards that mock Christians and Our Lord. They literally place statues dedicated to Satan and demons because of “Freedom of Religion”, which puts Jesus Christ on the same level as Satan. This does not happen in Holy Russia. Do not let materialistic concerns blind you to spiritual truths. Learn more about Russia and the Christian Renaissance there. I used to dislike Russia too but then I saw the light, I saw through the darkness and lies of the Evil One that are ever present in anti-Russia Propaganda. Look away from the viewscreen and look at the news site Russian Faith, it will change the way you think of Russia.

Khorosho, barin". We are all coming to this earthly paradise. Who wants a long life anyway.

Russian Orthodox Church is an arm of the Russian government. During the Soviet era they pledged loyalty to the Soviet state, and they never renounced that pledge. As Russia being the recognized successor state to the Soviet Union, from a legal standpoint that pledge still stands.

Not to mention in Russia, abortions are occurring at an alarming rate, most Russians live as pagans, and they greatly persecute Catholics. Russia only allows religions that have been a part of the nation’s culture for many centuries. Those religions are Orthodoxy, Islam, Buddhism, and Judaism.

Russia may have given up Communism, but they still have a long way to go (stop persecuting Catholics and rejoin the Church). Their conversion still has not taken place.

In Russia it’s okay to be Orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist, or Jewish even. But not Catholic.

Russia prays for their conversion.
Conversion to what? Orthodoxy? The same Orthodox Church that permits divorce? The same Orthodox Church that signed a loyalty pledge to the Communist Party of the Soviet Union? The same Orthodox Church that persecutes Catholics?

Russia is no longer the Soviet Union. Conversion to what? I’m sure the Orthodox pray for conversion to Orthodoxy. I pray for conversion to Christianity. You sound awfully righteous in your defence of Atheistic, Communist West. Keep in mind that Atheism and Communism/Socialism are on the rise there. Russia, on the other hand, knows what it’s like to live without God.
Now for my counter question: Which Church do you support? The Catholic Church? The same Catholic Church that made a deal with the wicked Communist Government of China? The same China that persecutes Catholics? The same Catholic Church with rampant abuse? Now maybe you understand why your question about the Orthodox Church seems to me to be a non-question.
Can you substantiate your claims that the Orthodox Church is currently persecuting Catholics? I do not deny or confirm this as this is my first time hearing of it, so I would truly be interested in any evidence you will give me and look into it. But, regardless of persecution of Catholics, it doesn’t change the fact that Russia is better than the West. The West is currently persecuting Christians, whether they are Catholic or not, and it looks to only be getting worse as time goes on. I also know that there are a couple of Catholic Churches in Moscow, one in Rostov, and one in Saint Petersburg. Also, I have seen an interview with the Pastor of one of the Moscow Churches and he did not mention any persecutions. You would think that would come up, yes?

And it is my understanding that the Catholic Church now hands out considerably more annulments than they did just a hundred years ago. The West also permits divorce by the way, and has a high divorce rate as well, not to mention its encouragement of cohabitation, promiscuity, homosexuality, and single motherhood. The Russian Government supports and helps out families.

"For many of Canada’s 1.4 million Ukrainian Canadians, Russia’s military invasions and territorial annexations of Ukraine; the over 13,000 killed, the close to 2 million internally displaced persons, are all felt quite personally.

We applaud our Government’s steadfastness in supporting Ukraine and her freedom-loving people.

However, Canada’s support is also of geopolitical importance. The greatest threat to the liberal-democratic West today is the Kremlin’s hybrid war against us, on NATO’s eastern flank. Ukraine’s initially volunteer army was not only defending its land, it was a de facto shield for democratic Europe.

Through Canada’s Operation UNIFIER, 200 Canadian Armed Forces members have trained close to 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers and Canada has been advising Ukraine on NATO standard defence reforms.

Following on the heels of Canada’s important announcement increasing sanctions in response to Russian aggression against Ukraine in the Black Sea and the Kerch Strait and Russia’s illegal invasion and continued occupation of Crimea, I sincerely thank Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Chrystia Freeland, and Minister of National Defence, the Hon. Harjit Sajjan, in announcing the extension of our crucial commitment to Ukraine through Operation UNIFIER."

I see that someone strongly wants to laugh, but in fact it is not at all funny.
