Where did you meet your spouse?

I met my husband at work (a restaurant) when we were in our late teens/early 20’s. We both put in our applications and were hired on the spot…on the same day! It was meant to be…😃

i met my spouse on a sophomore field trip on the school bus… she would later say that it was meant to be for me… the jury is still out for her!..

I met my husband during 8th grade French class after the “infamous spitwad incident” and we’ve been together ever since… ahhh, definitely meant to be!

I first saw my fiance at work when I was 14 but he had a mullet and it was really funny. Then he cut his hair and he looked totally unrecognizable, so when i saw him later, i didn’t know it was him. Then I would see him at the bus stop and always wanted to talk to him but i was on the bus and he was outside waiting for another so it never happened. Then a mutual friend noticed me checking him out every morning so he hooked us up, we’ve been together ever since!!

my fiance says he noticed me way before i noticed him. He had a huge crush on me back in his mullet days.

Apartment laundrymat. How’s that for romantic? (Hey baby, I love the way you fold your towels)

I met my dh when I joined the SFO. It turned out that we had been just missing each other for years - several times I was in the chuch hall basement with the folk dancing group while he was upstairs in an SFO meeting. Another time we were both at the Cathedral to hear an evangelist-priest. It was strange to find out that we knew a lot of the same people but had never met.

I met my husband at a Young Widows and Widowers Support Group about 8 months after my husband of 26 1/2 yrs passed away…

Never saw it coming! When someone tells you you can never love again, don’t listen… I’m living proof! Love is lovlier the 2nd time around…as the song goes. I was devoted to my first husband and loved him almost more than life itself…God had other plans…
We recently celebrated our 12th Anniversary.🙂

My husband and I had similar things happen with us. 7 years before we met my family and I moved to the area. Before we found a house we were living in a motel. The motel was about a half mile from my future husband’s house! We used to go to the same restaurants and gas station all the time. My family then moved about a half hour away but our paths crossed other times. When I was in high school I dated a boy whose father owned a store which my future husband went to a couple times. We figured it was probably around the time I was hanging out there a lot. There were a lot of other weird coincidences like that. I wonder why it took us so long to actually meet!

I met my wife at a high school graduation party. I was the singer for the band and she was my first (and as it turns out, only) groupie.
I started playing music to meet girls I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to marry the first to come along. 🙂

We met at Church. A mutual friend of ours needed a ride to our youth group. From the moment he walked into the room, I knew he was the one!!!
We had crossed paths many times before and didn’t realize it until well into our dating. We still have “that was you???” moments.

In the Syracuse University Orchestra. I was at the USAF Russian school, which was a detachment posted at SU, and I was allowed to play in the orchestra for a semester because I had been a Good Boy. I was a contrabassist; she was trying to play tympani, but was in over her head, and I helped her tune then. I also restrung her guitar for her.

Met my ex-spouse at the dorm at the University we both attended.

I met him when we were in high school. We were on a field trip and had stopped to do laundry. Apparently, he did not want to wait his turn for a dryer and asked if he could pile his laundry in with mine. After 2 hours of laundry we were inseparable.

I was in Human Resources and interviewed him for a job. We got to talking and found that we had friends and music in common.

He got the job.

I met my husband in the 9th grade. I came from a Catholic girls’ school which only went through 8th grade and attended high school at a co-ed Catholic school. I walked in to Sister Beatrice’s home room and there he was. We didn’t start dating till 11th grade and married when we were 23. Thirty-four years later we are still together.

I met my husband in college when I was a reference librarian (frosh) and he was a senior in high school on a ‘talker’. Talkers were like MUDs with no game… just talk… but themed… this one had trivia to find secret rooms. I teamed up w/ him- he had a knack for random knowledge and I – I was a reference librarian with enough access to answer anything duh! We were totally unbeatable.

We got married 5 years later-- after we saw each other 3.5 years later IRL and started dating. 😃
