this dissagree with you very beautifully. those who are teaching you have not been ordained lawfully.

Cyprian of Carthage

“[T]he Church is one, and as she is one, cannot be both within and without. For if she is with [the heretic] Novatian, she was not with [Pope] Cornelius. But if she was with Cornelius, who succeeded the bishop [of Rome], Fabian, by lawful ordination, and whom, beside the honor of the priesthood the Lord glorified also with martyrdom, Novatian is not in the Church; nor can he be reckoned as a bishop, who, succeeding to no one, and despising the evangelical and apostolic tradition, sprang from himself. For he who has not been ordained in the Church can neither have nor hold to the Church in any way” (Letters 69[75]:3 [A.D. 253]).

Yes what was preached [oral tradtition] has been written down. The Word of GOD stands forever, and we have the Holy Bible. Even today we can hand down what we know of Jesus [oral tradition] to our children, they can read the information for themselves as they learn to read.

Of course early Christians had Scripture-the Gospel was referenced by Paul and the different Churchs had the Epistles being sent to them by Paul.

1 Corinthians 15
3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. 6After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

It is the Holy Bible that tells us what we need to know. You are misunderstanding what I am saying- the** information **we need for our salvation is in the Bible. The Bible does not grant our salvation.
Some of it schaick but not all of it. Oral Tradition is not in the bible. Do you understand what I am saying? Only SS is in the bible, OT is the oral teaching we receive in the Church that has only been passed down to the CC.

The church yes not the CC.
here is the Church according to:

Cyprian of Carthage,
“[T]he Church is one, and as she is one, cannot be both within and without. Cool, because Jesus did find me and I do read the Bible.
can you baptize yourself? can you administer the Sacraments to yourself? can you determine Doctrines for yourself?

Sir I am proud for you that you are deep in your belief. I am too.

i dont have a belief. i know and accept all that Jesus tought. that is different from insisting in believing something that is not true. believing doesnt determine the Truth. it is the acceptance of the Truth because it is the Truth. the demons also believe and tremble.

Did we have a police dept. back then,Why do we have a police dept. now,are guards like police dept. SO WHY DO WE HAVE GUARDS,many Protestants preacher have private guards,Why not guards for the pope-
I don’t think Christians should hire a body guard. Being a martyr is part of the deal.
That’s about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.**
Maybe it’s God’s will that a Pope be allowed to live longer to do God’s will.**
Maybe somebody should have told that to Paul when he hid in a basket and was lowered beyond the walls of Damascus to escape.

Your words, "I don’t think" seem very appropriate here . . .

Oops sorry I meant your belief in Jesus

:hmmm:

You didn’t answer the question. Since both are exempt from accountability and norming, since both are incapable of error, since neither permits any arbitration of its teachings except by itself alone (and that moot since each alone insists each alone is incapable of being wrong), how do we resolve the issue?
.
Aj, the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was founded by Joseph Smith in the 19th century, as opposed to Jesus Christ, in the 1st century. Please give me the name of the founder of the CC and when it was founded, and if his name is not Jesus Christ, in the 1st century, then I will say: you are right and again, I will leave the CC!!! Please no general statements. It’s a simple question.

Please do not say: “It’s all around you. It is one, holy and catholic. It is the communion of saints, the mystical union of believers, the community of faith” for that does not answer the question. I want the name of the man (or men) - that founded the historical CC, and when that man (or men) -founded the historical CC. Please substantiate your claim, otherwise it’s just you opinion.

Thanks…🙂
