He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:45He came to save many who did not/don’t know Him. A complete Gift. Why would he make this time of inner examination “tricky”, so that even those who have chosen Him are punished through no fault of their own? An innocent walks outside on minute 1 of the three days and is zapped, gaining nothing from this time of grace. It just doesn’t ring true.
I don’t find it at all hard to believe that those who have already chosen God will also suffer whatever comes on the world as a result of the direction we’re going.
As to whether innocents would die, they did during the Passover, too. A firstborn whose father failed to mark the doorpost with lambs blood was hardly at fault, yet those children died. Children certainly died in the Flood, too.
I don’t pretend to understand in anyway, only saying, it wouldn’t be the first time.
