Why would there be? Obama released a document that state authorities admitted didn’t exist, how did he do that?

There wasn’t a crush of political leaders that appologized to Bush when it was revealed by a congression investigation that Joe Wilson lied about his trip to Nigre and that he actually provided proof that Iraq was attempting to purchase yellow cake. Instead they ignored the testimony given under oath and the continued with the claim that Bush lied in his SOTU address.

When did the state authorities admit that it didn’t exist? Proof, please.

Personally, I am deeply disappointed at the president’s decision to release this document. How can one then say to the kids: you have nothing to prove to anybody, just be yourself? Bad example, poor choice and ultimately an ineffective attempt to appease.

No Hawaii officeal ever said it didn’t exist. To the contrary, two governors of Hawaii (one GOP one Dem) said it did exist, but that they do not normally release copies. Now they have released a copy that says exactly what the two governors said it did. It was Trump that claimed he had secret evidence that it did not exist - which is now obviously untrue.

So now the people that manufactured this fake controversy start blaming the president for the controversy they manufactured.

But it became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama’s birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate.

And in the same interview Abercrombie suggested that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

He said efforts were still being made to track down definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii.

Exactly. As has been previously stated, the release of the document will not end the controversy. It will simply move it to another arena. Carry on.

No he should have done it. Again I’m not a birther, but he should have done it just because to have a job in the US you have to show one. And the President of all people…

If indeed someone was allowed to ascend to the presidency without the requisite proof of natural birth, then that is an indictment of all previous presidents and lawmakers for not making the process foolproof!

He should have done it because it’s something that needs to be done. And when it became an issue, again, he should have just showed it. He let it turn into this mess.

But now that its 2012 he’s got ‘important things to do’.

My original question was not what you think but who else has been asked to do this (which president/s)? Personally, since he seems to feel the need to prove himself (a disposition I take strong exception to) I do wish he’d release his grades and have all other presidential candidates do the same!
