My apologies to anyone offended by my previous post. I was simply trying to make the point that this was a bad judgment call by the president. I am very disappointed in his decision to do what no other president to my knowledge has been called to do. This is a very bad example to those of us still trying to be accepted in society on our own merit and on the same terms as everyone else.
 
I was born in Hawaii in '63. This looks just like my BC (except names, dates etc;))

My original is black with white lettering, almost like a film negative.

I’m glad this is over.
 
Here’s the BIG question. If it was apparently so easy to produce this simple piece of paper, then why did Obama essentially fan speculation for over two years by not producing it?

Perhaps this was all an attempt by the Democrat Party to broadly paint doubters as whako, or to provide a convenient distraction factor for the 2012 election cycle. In either case it has proven to be an effective strategy, but only to a more limited point as time went on, so it was time to throw that strategy under the bus.

We now return you to the regularly scheduled program of spend, spend, spend and by the way, we need to raise your taxes for the money we spent but didn’t actually have.

BTW, I like your take on how this was somehow a political strategy by Democrats…in the end everything is Obama’s fault: even people mistakenly believing something that he never told them. What about the ones who did the telling…any responsibility for this whole mess?

It takes a while to create a good forgery. He didn’t want a repeat of Dan Rather’s debacle.

How many other presidents’ birth certificates have you seen? Funny that the black guy with the funny name was the only one ever called to produce one.

The certificate is signed by the delivery doctor, Obama’s mother and the local registrar. His mother, then 18, signed her name (Stanley) Ann Dunham Obama.

Are you asserting that this is a forgery? Lest I once more breach the bounds of charitable posting, let me ask one theological question: at what point does error (as in a mistake or accident) become willful wrongdoing?

LOL, that’s what Hawaii calls a birth certificate. The argument has long been that Obama only released the “short form” and not the original “long form.” This is the “long form” that everyone has asked for.

Untrue. John McCain had the very same problem during the campaign, and he is a white guy with a perfectly normal name. He produced his within minutes of being questioned about it.
