If the first person sounded like Ms Taitz and I had to hazard a guess, I’d say most certainly the second person should have known there was no fire. As for culpability, I’ll leave that to the theologians…Can you say Kenyan birth certificate?

Interesting question…if these people are found to have falsified evidence, does that rise to the level of treason? I mean they are attempting to overthrow a duly elected government.

No it would definitely not rise to the level of treason nor lack of patriotism. The Founding Fathers were very careful to make the charge of treason very difficult to prove and very narrow indeed. They knew that this was a primary way that the King of England managed to seperate the heads of his enemies from their bodies. I think there may be some that honestly believe that should conclusive proof put forward that the President is indeed ineligible to serve he could be immediately removed. This is wrong. A sitting President can only be removed by order of the Senate after a guilty finding following the impeachment process. Which brings up an interesting point.

If those in the general public and the House and Senate truly believe that the evidence presented thus far is credible and should be trusted, then why not an impeachment proceeding? An impeachment proceeding is very much like a court trial. Evidence is preented. It is tested through the advaserial process. Witnesses are deposed, examined and re-examined. Why has there been no effort, no cry for an impeachment on the grounds that the Presdient perpetrated a massive conspiracy and fraud on the American people? This would be a great and far better venue for testing the credibility of the evidence than this forum could possibly provide. Where is the outcry?

I have no idea where people got the idea of “auto - removal” from Office.🤷

She looks very scary indeed. And a master of playing on USA American’s fear of government. I now think that everything is a conspiracy.

Interesting however that she has accused Obama of being Muslim because he was allegedly born in a Muslim state (but she has yet to provide proof). She was born in a communist one, does that make her a communist?

An interesting thing I have noticed from this thread - the “birthers” are demanding for more proof that Obama is eligible and are making allegations against him, but don’t think it’s necessary to provide evidence themselves. If this did go to court, they’d lose. :rolleyes:

In all fairness, they have presented a great deal of evidence and fact. We just disagree on it’s credibility. And I agree, it would not stand up in court and indeed Mrs. Taitz has proven it.

The only evidence I’ve seen is “Well if he hasn’t released it he obviously doesn’t have one!” and now it’s “well obviously its part of a conspiracy. Proof of that? Well I can’t give you any, because it’s all being covered up silly!” 🤷

Obviously I’m caricaturing some of the argument (because as an observing neutral I am finding this whole thing ridiculous) but if the birthers do have something substantial, I’d appreciate a link - this is interesting.

Well, the frivolous lawsuit is an American speciality. Much like pizza, jazz, the hamburger and hot dog, we didn’t invent it per se, or we may have borrowed heavily from others, but darned if we didn’t make it better!

I never heard of Orly until this thread, but crazy often finds a home in Southern California.

So, if society keeps allowing deadbeats to skate on their responsibility, will an even higher percentage of men eventually skip fatherhood altogether in favor of personal entertainment and selfishness? At what point are you enabling irresponsibility?
