My choice is Charles Laughton as Captain Bligh in the first version of “Mutiny on the Bounty.” A great performance portraying evil and a movie masterpiece. Charles Laughton is one of my very favorite actors.

Thanks for the clip. Shane is on most people’s list of Top Ten Westerns, along with classics such as High Noon, Unforgiven, Butch Cassidy, The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, Rio Bravo, The Shootist, and How the West was Won. My own favorite from this genre is The Big Country.

Yes, I understand he was one the gentlest people, and very loving with his family.

Another really evil character is the daughter of Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce, played by Ann Blyth. This character took the concept of spoiled brat to new heights. The hilarious Carol Burnett spoof of this film on her comedy show was entitled Mildred Fierce.

And there is the villainous heroine Barbara Stanwyck in the film-noir classic, Double Indemnity.
